"Quite pointless" Posted 2024-05-08
Pros: - for certain languages, there are plenty of group sessions at all hours
- well explained grammar rules
- possibility to have conversations and practice spoken languagesCons: - in the group classes, teachers are often not mother tongue, mixing their own accent/pronunciation with the original language. They are usually, but I had some bad experiences with "nazi" teachers that were rebuking students for intervening when not explicitly asked to.
- Each self-lesson has around 6 exercises, after the explanation, without any option to exercises more. There are also no mixed exercises, to exercise different rules or summarize a full unit, for instance.
- you can't save lessons you want to do the next time you log in
- studying languages with a different alphabet (such as Arabic) is absolutely impossible when starting at beginning level, because all the questions are in Arabic only, making it impossible to understand, let alone to answer. How can I answer if I can't even read?Overall: I don't think I'm learning much at all, but some group class are quite fun. At least my company pays for it and therefore it comes free.

"Confusing " Posted 2022-12-27
Pros: - Convenient access to the platform
- Available on web and mobile
- Sound and Graphics
- Tests are includedCons: - Teachers do not seem to check your level
- Approach is unstructured and poorly coordinatedOverall: Underwhelming, as the support from the live teaching is chaotic. The teachers are good but you need to schedule the same one or there is no continuity.

"Very uncomfortable platform" Posted 2022-08-26
Pros: There is a set of courses and exercises for them, I didn’t notice any more pluses, there are much more minuses.
Cons: - inconvenient interface, it is impossible to scroll the text, it automatically jumps to the end, there is no way to change the scale if the font is small, in this case the layout is broken
- works very slowly and often hangs
- there is no way to choose a teacher by country, reviews, you can not listen to his introduction interviewOverall: Most of the available teachers are from Asia and Africa, the interface is terribly inconvenient, it works slowly.
