eMembership for Labor Unions

Pros: Working with WinMill was a pleasure. The team was efficient and pleasant, and eager to make sure we built the database into something useful for us.

Cons: The platform load and refresh times were longer than expected.

Overall: Taking a "out of the box" template and building it to work for our Local was exactly what we needed.

Pros: It is a customizable database that works with our website and phone app (also by WinMill) which keeps data current in both places.

Cons: As a MAC user, It is not as intuitive as I would like.

Overall: Overall it is a great product, which is customizable, and has great support as well as porting data to our website and phone app (also by WinMill)

Pros: Working with our design and build team has been a phenomenal experience. We are very pleased with the knowledge and understanding that our support team has demonstrated. They have been extremely responsive and flexible to our unique needs.

Cons: Identifying L26 staff with skill sets to fully implement the transition. It would have been incredibly helpful to offer a digital manual for new users.

Overall: Very satisfied with initial phases. The team at Winmill have been very helpful and offer insight to scenarios that we were not anticipating. Looking forward to seeing where eMembership takes us.

Pros: The entire staff is very professional. During our weekly meeting, the staff took their time to understand my ideas and worked hard to implement exactly what we were aiming for. I received followed up calls to ensure that the development process of our new program was going well.

Cons: The response time for a trouble ticket has been a little inconsistent.

Overall: I thoroughly enjoy working with the staff at Winmill. They are a great company and I would highly recommend them.

Pros: WinMill eMembership has helped us increase the accuracy of our data and dues collection process for or members and the contracts that we manage. This has increased our collection and overall efficiency of our membership team here at the Local. We at this point are only using a few of the eMembership modules (Membership, Reports, some Financials, & Grievances) but plan on moving forward with others.

They are always responsive to our and support issues and help design the right solution for our needs.

Cons: As with any customized solution, you will need to pay for these customizations. However, WinMill spends the time to understand and define your needs and gives you a good and accurate quote for your project. That is why I gave the it a 5 for pricing. There is rarely Scope creep and additional charges for your defined project . Your business is truly important to them and you will know what your project costs.

Overall: When we were looking for a new membership database solution, we had looked at the many options that were out there. We took many factors into account prior to choosing WinMill. These included:

WinMill's eMembership met all our criteria.

Pros: Upgrading with Winmill from our prior office operating system, has truly made a difference in our day to day operations. Work flow has increased along with productive and efficient time management. The process from discovery through final production was great. Winmill’s team was exceptional!

Cons: Like everything at this time, just wish cost was a little less.

Overall: Our office is improving with this implementation using Winmill. For us, the difference is night and day. I highly recommend using their services. No matter what your needs, they will mold a fit for company.

Pros: eMembership is a robust database with user-friendly data entry platform. It is the heart of our organization and keeps our member information safe with provides an excellent reporting tool to track all the data that we enter. I handle dues and membership reporting and our database is the main tool that I need to do my job accurately and efficiently.
Our organization, IATSE Local 800 engaged WinMill software to create our database in 2011. This was not a small task due to a merger of 4 IATSE Locals with 4 separate databases which containing duplicate members to be merged into one database, for a total of about 2300 members at the time. Once the project was complete, we ran parallel databases to verify the integrity of the information. The technical experts were with us every step of the way, providing expert technical support and training, both on site and virtual. The support did not stop once we were up and running. For the past 10 years, the WinMill team provided innovations for optimal performance and has offered solutions for our organizations growth and fluid needs. The team is highly responsive and makes us feel like we are their only client.

I would highly recommend WinMill software and cannot imagine doing my job without our database and their expert team to support me.

Cons: I cannot think of any cons, except that I would love for our organization to upgrade to the latest version!

Overall: I give WinMill software highest marks regarding customer service, technology and for creating an interface that is streamlined and easy to use. The dedicated and expert staff and technical experts are readily available when we need them.

Pros: We liked the discovery process as well as the development and final functionality of the customized software. Great programmers along with a team that really got in tune with our needs. Understanding changes needed along the way and adjusting the software in preview sites before actual application has been beneficial as well.

Cons: That I would have to get back to you on. We are in our first year of implementation with Winmill and can honestly say that we are very satisfied with the team and product.

Overall: I would highly recommend Winmill software for your business solutions. Professional expertise is what you will experience with this team!

Pros: Our Winmill eMembership database is a very robust tool that all of our staff uses daily. One of the great advantages of this database is its flexibility and how we can build on this database as our needs as a Membership association grow. Very responsive staff and technicians who are available and ready to assist us when we have had any issues. We are very pleased with our eMembership database.

Cons: None that I can think of. I can praise the wonderful eMembership team who are very responsive and available.

Overall: After the merger of 4 locals into one local, I was part of the team that researched a number of different databases. Our need was to merge 4 separate databases into one.
We decided on the eMembership database because it came highly recommended by other union reps and the cost of eMembership was very affordable. We have had no regrets and are very happy with our choice.

Pros: It's a very powerful system, that helps us house member and contract info. Customization for your organization is a huge pro.

Cons: Just make sure your organization has notes on any of the specific customizations you make, so that new employees know how to best use the system.

Overall: Great customer support team. They offer friendly help and a willingness to brainstorm new/different tools for implementation.
