About X-Icon Editor
X-Icon Editor is the first HTML5 application that allows you to create high resolution icons directly from within the browser. Windows Internet Explorer 9 introduces pinned sites, a feature with which you can integrate your websites with the Windows 7 desktop. When a user launches your website from a pinned site, the website renders with a custom-branded look using your site’s favicon, navigation button colors, and other information you provide. With X-Icon Editor you can quickly get your site ready with a new high resolution icon which shows up in Site Mode, the OneBox address bar and the New Tab page. X-Icon Editor allows multiple uploads of different images. The image formats currently supported are: .PNG, .JPG, .BMP, .GIF and .ICO. After importing an image, you can also crop dynamically just the area of the picture you would like to elaborate (not supported for .ICO).

In the search box type in a keyword for which you would like to find an icon and click "search" button. A list of results will be displayed. In order to see the full collection of the icon click on the "View collection" link under the icon. Having found icons you need click on the image of the icon. A form for modifying that icon will appear. Each icon has it's default colors. Having placed "Yes" for this parameter you will have the colors of the icon unchanged. Set the color of the image. This function colorizes the icon image. This parameter is disabled when "Keep colors option is selected". Reset width and height of the icon to original icon size as displayed in search results. The form parameters are saved in cookies for your convenience for each next icon. Allows to brighten or darken the whole image. -100 value creates an absolutely black image, while +100 sets image to clear white color. Make image absolutely grayscaled (-100) or with very high level color contrast (+100).
