"Workfolio allowed my Internet domain to expire " Posted 2023-06-08
Pros: Workfolio used to be a good company. I had a website with them for six years and until this year they were easy to work with but they changed. I'm dumbfounded at their poor values when they had been such a good company.
Cons: Since 2018 I’ve been paying for a website with Workfolio and even though there’s been no change to my credit card and no communication that payment hasn’t been received, Workfolio allowed my Internet domain to expire causing my website to disappear from the Internet. Workfolio has been in charge of renewing my Internet domain as part of the service I pay for each year in October. Now, not only have I lost the website I paid for until October 2023, Workfolio hasn’t responded to my requests for information. They also did not respond to the Better Business Bureau who tried to contact them on my behalf.

1. I received an email telling me my Internet domain was about to expire and I emailed Workfolio to make sure they were handling it
2. Workfolio support agent emailed me back and said I didn’t need to worry, they handled the domain renewal for subscriptions that were up-to-date

3. 2nd email: I emailed Workfolio again before the expiry date
4. I received no response from a Workfolio agent
5. 3rd email: I found out my domain expired and my website disappeared and emailed Workfolio to ask them why they allowed my domain to expire
6. I received no response from a Workfolio agent
7. 4th email: I emailed Workfolio and said I wanted my website back up and running
8. I received no response from a Workfolio agent, only automatic computer responses saying my emails to Workfolio were received.Overall: They don't appear to be an honest company anymore. I sent this complaint with all the screenshots of the emails to the Better Business Bureau but they never assigned a case number (as they always do). Even when I sent a follow-up email to BBB I received no reply from BBB.

What I told BBB I wanted:
• I want an explanation from Workfolio to understand what happened.
• I want them to renew the domain.
• I want my website back up and running without any loss of information or functionality.
• Otherwise they need to refund my money which is actually a small amount compared to the loss of the information that has occurred. I’m in the middle of transitioning careers and the website was key to the transition.
They need to respond to customers they've had for six years.
