    "Very POWERFUL!"

    Posted 2025-05-05

Pros: A lot of features and customizability. Community-focused. Private and secure. The most powerful browser. Made by the guys from the old Opera, before it changed its browser engine.

Cons: A little sower than other browsers, but this because of its huge amount of features and tools

Overall: Very satisfied. Usually works very well. Using it as my main browser, and would recommend it to anyone. It might be a little overwhelming for very basic users, but for us, power users, it is incomparable.

    "Great powerful browser"

    Posted 2024-07-22

Pros: - Customization. It's awesome. Everything can be tweaked, especially with some CSS/JS knowledge
    - Privacy. Doesn't collect user data, won't sell their users.

Cons: Stability and performance need improvements, especially on non-ARM systems

Overall: Have been using this one for 5 years straight, can't imagine using anything else for tab-intense work juggling multiple ongoing projects. Perfectly syncs with mobile devices.

    "The Best!"

    Posted 2023-06-19

Pros: The browser tabs are very efficient.

I love having an e-mail client built in. My preference is to use an all-in-one suite, not separate applications for web browsing and e-mail.

The Vivaldi Community is very friendly, with staff and volunteers available to help.

Cons: There is nothing I do not like about Vivaldi. It's great.

Overall: Have been using Vivaldi since version 1.0, beginning in 2016, using Linux, Windows Vista and 7 back then. Using Vivaldi exclusively on Linux today.

    "A better web experience"

    Posted 2023-06-17

Pros: Top tier tab management with Tab stacks (with 3 modes for how you want to access them), Workspaces (to further organize your tabs / tab stacks), tab tiling (allowing to display tabs side-by-side or top-and-bottom or grid-style), among others.
Easy access to any feature thanks to "quick commands", a prompt where one can type out what you want to do and press 'enter' to execute.
Tons of customization, with custom themes (and a theme website to download/upload more) and address bar customization.
    And many more!

Cons: For new users, it may look "overwhelming" at first. To help with this, upon installation there's a "welcome" wizard to help with setting up, but still. I'd advise to new comers to start with the "default" options and then slowly explore your options.

Overall: For those who spend more than just a few minutes per day browsing, makes absolute sense to choose a browser that tries to improve your experience in every way possible.
With Vivaldi, you have both powerful features to boost what you can do within a browser and the customization to create something you're proud to look at, be it a "minimalism" design with only the essentials for browsing, or a fully fletched "command center" for every use case imaginable.

    "Awesome browser for power users!"

    Edited 2023-06-16

Pros: Very flexible and customizable Chromium-based browser with a huge number of features like web panels, tab stacking, workspaces, mouse gestures, custom hotkeys, themes, keyboard support for every feature, spatial navigation for webpages and much, much more!

Cons: The large number of settings and features in Vivaldi can be a little daunting for new users, there's definitely a learning curve to fully enjoy using this browser - but once that's overcome it truly delivers!

Overall: Vivaldi is a great feature-filled browser for those willing to invest some time learning its many features, and made by a small company dedicated to user privacy and an open web.

    "Great browser"

    Posted 2022-02-28

Pros: Available on a vast majority of platforms (Windows, mac, Linux, Android, iOS).
Chrome-based: Chrome extensions would work like a charm.

Cons: Sometimes it would use a lot of CPU power.
Features that some people would not use, like Vivaldi Mail.

Overall: Overall, Vivaldi is a great browser that keeps it up against Chrome, Firefox and other browsers. I would recommend that you try Vivaldi.

    "The browser of choice"

    Posted 2021-05-15

    Pros: -driven by the community
    -flexible development of trend-independent features
    -supports chrome extensions
    -stable and fast
    -available on win10, linux, android

Cons: -some functionality may not be necessary for everyone (hue options, mail/calendar)
-misses having websites be able to be set up as 'apps' (like chrome and edge can)

Overall: I have installed and tested a lot of them. Chrome, Edge, Brave, Samsung, Opera, Vivaldi. And Vivaldi came out on top and became my daily driver. The development team and the community are great. The mobile version is also very actively developed (and not neglected like for other browsers not named).

    "The Feature-rich Private Browser"

    Posted 2021-04-04

Pros: It boasts features like tab stacking and tab tiling that other browsers don't, has built in ads and trackers blocker and has insane amount of customization in any browser out there. In my comparison, it has less CPU and RAM usage than Firefox and Chrome.

Cons: Page loading can be slow sometime. And I had occasional issue with favicon not being displayed on the tab.

Overall: Vivaldi has been truly an amazing experience for me. Although I have not been able to leverage all the available customization, the ones that I wish other browsers featured like tab stacking and tab tiling have really been so helpful for me. And the ability to pin the tabs on the sidebar is also awesome.
