Recovers files from disks with physical damage. Allows you to copy files from disks with problems such as bad sectors, scratches or that just give errors when reading data. The program will attempt to recover every readable piece of a file and put the pieces together. Using this method most types of files can be made useable even if some parts of the file were not recoverable in the end. The program can be used as a daily backup system using its batch mode functions. A list of transfers can be saved to a file and then run from the command line to perform the same batch of transfers on a regular basis without having to use the GUI interface. The program supports command line parameters which allow the application to be run from schedulers or scripts so it can be fully integrated into daily server tasks.

yCopy2
yCopy2 is a backup/sync tool with multi-threading and a rich set of command-line variables. Warning: the SYNC option will recursively delete files & folders from the destination path which aren't present on the source. Use with caution, and experiment with unimportant files first. I've been using yCopy2 to back up my stuff for a couple of years now, but that doesn't mean the program will suit your needs. Use this software at your own risk. Due to a limitation in Microsoft .Net, yCopy cannot back up files where the source or destination path + filename is longer than 256 characters. E.g. C:\Temp\etc\etc\more stuff\(to a depth of 256 chars)\Some really long file name.doc. A network mode where yCopy2 will communicate in a client-server fashion, speeding up lan backups. In case of a copy error TeraCopy will try to recover. If unable to recover in the worst case scenario it will simply skip the problematic file, not terminating the entire transfer. It can also wait for network or device reconnection. Unnecessary files can be skipped to reduce the transfer time. TeraCopy can verify files after they have been copied to ensure that they are identical. This is done by comparing hashes of source and target files.
