GPT-4 (Generative Pre-trained Transformer 4) is a large-scale unsupervised language model, yet to be released by OpenAI. GPT-4 is the successor to GPT-3 and part of the GPT-n series of natural language processing models, and was trained on a dataset of 45TB of text to produce human-like text generation and understanding capabilities. GPT-4o (“o” for “omni”) is a step towards much more natural human-computer interaction—it accepts as input any combination of text, audio, image, and video and generates any combination of text, audio, and image outputs. It matches GPT-4 Turbo performance on text in English and code, with significant improvement on text in non-English languages, while also being much faster and 50% cheaper in the API. GPT-4o is especially better at vision and audio understanding compared to existing models.

Claude Sonnet 3.5 sets new industry benchmarks for graduate-level reasoning (GPQA), undergraduate-level knowledge (MMLU), and coding proficiency (HumanEval).
