"Decent system" Posted 2022-07-28
Pros: I like that the input of new products is simple, direct and without much hitch. Additionally the payment processing screen is pretty simple.
Cons: It’s pretty inconvenient that with each new update, if not done right away, the older version will crash. Additionally - with the newest versions/updates you have to get a newer model of iPad, which you wouldn’t know until you have to call customer service and they inform you of such.
Overall: Overall, very simple system to use but the updates make the use ability a pain with continuous crashes or the complete inability of use with older software version electronics.

"You can charge/collect your money from anywhere!" Posted 2022-04-19
Pros: When I signed up for Square, they sent via mail a complimentary square device to plug into my iPhone to take payments on the go. You can also take payments on line. I have linked up Apptoto (to schedule consultations online) with square and my clients are able to schedule and confirm their own appointments and make a payment using square. It's very simple and easy to use.
Cons: Ha! Wished they gave more complimentary square devices to plug to additional iPhone. Honestly, there are no cons for this product.
Overall: I have just recently started using it and I really like it. It's a quick alternative to using other form of payments to collect money from my clients.

"Used for my Lularoe" Posted 2022-02-28
Pros: I used to use square to do all of my purchases for Lularoe, when that was a fleeting thing. Worked really well and was easy for the customers to use at flea markets.
Cons: Needs stable wifi but that is understandable. You can't process payments via card without it anywhere.
Overall: Love Square and love how easy it is to use for so many various needs. There were some other options but they don't compare to the simplicity.

"Excellent product" Edited 2021-11-30
Pros: Adore the ability to take credit cards at events when I sell my books. Easy to use and set up and keep track of my inventory.
Cons: None really. A really good product that I've used for years now with no problems.
Overall: Highly recommended for anyone who sells their own products at events or for a small business. Love that the basic reader is free and easy to set up.

"A great move for our school" Posted 2021-09-03
Pros: We used a number of payment platforms before switching to Square. It's been great for our school to have something with a number of ways to collect payments. We take parent credit cards for athletics or spirit wear in the front office using the terminal, and can take payments for student fees, field trips, and extracurriculars in our online store.
Cons: Our website used to be powered through Squarespace, and we had to use a third-party software called JotForm in order to connect the two platforms. One of the things we wanted to do was collect donations, and we couldn't embed a Square item directly.
Overall: The families at our school have loved the flexibility the Square portal offers, and as admin we love the diversity of things we can use it for: fundraising, daily use, and random fees. Personally, I like how easy it is to pull a transaction report and see how easy it is to determine who has paid their dues.

"Easy for payments" Posted 2020-04-28
Pros: Works well for physical payments on the go. Excellent for those running a small business accepting card payments.
Cons: The transaction costs tend to be higher than others.
Overall: Overall it is a great way to accept credit card payments for products and services. And nice it's mobile.
