Pros: Absolutely nothing! I never even requested an account. Yet they somehow illegally obtained my credit card account.
Cons: I am an unwilling customer. Businesses should NEVER use this as a payment option. I will never support a business that requests payment via Shop Pay. When attempting to make an online purchase, the only option presented was Shop Pay. I logged in to Shop Pay to investigate and found that I have an account that I never requested. Even better, they had all my credit card info auto populated in their system, including a very new credit card. When I tried to contact customer support, the only option to obtain support was to install their app. No thank you! I was able to delete my credit card info from the account I never signed up for, and I think I successfully deleted my account. I have no doubt they will somehow reactivate this. This is all illegal!
Overall: Frightening and frustrating. They must have stolen my information and created an account that I never requested.

Found out on the 3rd call that you had a processor that wasn't working properly!
I tried to make another needed purchase, but was declined due to having overdue payments! I paid it off, and now I can't make any purchases at all using Affirm.Overall: The payments were set up on automatic, and linked to Affirm, but would not process for this particular product purchased through ShopPay.

I already had existing purchases being paid on Affirm.
I made this purchase, using the same debit card, and while the first payment went through okay, none of the following payments would process!!! I'd keep getting errors saying my card was declined, they told me to call the bank so I called the bank, all good there, so I made the call back to ShopPay, and they processed my overdue payment over the phone, and then they reassured me my payments were on auto, and all should be good now. Next payment comes along and it's declined! Go thru the same inconvenient process to get the payment made, and I expressed my concern about making future payments, and they say all should be good. Well guess what, the next payment due was declined again, I even used 3 different cards! Anyway, at this point, on that last call, I decided to just pay off the balance because I was getting declined for a new Affirm purchase that said I had an overdue payment!!!
I just wanted to be done with them. The last representative I spoke to said there was an unusual issue with the processor, and she apologized. That's it, nothing else she could do.
And sure enough, as I expected, I've now been completely declined for the shoes I've been needing to buy for work!
They say all looks good on their end, that maybe it's my credit or something else 😏 🤔 🤨😒 Uh No sir! 😳 Ugh!
It is just so disappointing to be told that nothing can be done. We all know we're just a number in the back ground of running your credit and purchasing things online, so the system doesn't understand issues like this, so it's just a terrible lesson learned. I would wish this incident on no one!! If anyone can correct this, please message me! -

Pros: Nothing prefer Apple Pay. Nothing doesn’t work half the time, and it’s not my card! Prefer Apple Pay, always works.
Cons: Why is shop pay often the only pay option? Usually doesn’t work.

Pros: Ability to pay in installments, 0% APR. The UI is nice, but I always feel like information is missing when I use it.
Cons: In order to track a shipment (you know, for the stuff you paid for??) it requires you to use the Shop app, which requests access to READ YOUR EMAIL.
Absolutely not necessary and a total violation of privacy from a generic payment app. Others have noted it-- they're definitely selling your data.Overall: Never going to use this app again. Also reading above, people have said they leave you high and dry for refunds if a business scams you or makes a mistake, which is a total no-go for me.

Pros: Not one dang thing. They didn't listen. They cannot grasp that even the item in question said that I didn't buy the item. They canceled the order, but I guess Shop Pay must get to keep the money that they decide is a "legitimate" purchase.
Cons: They were given the copies from my bank showing that I didn't make the purchase, not did I receive this purchase. I contacted Nood, they understood and refunded the money. These jackholes are going to continue to take the money to give to no one and that's all there is to that. DON'T USE THEM-they make PayPal look great.
Overall: I just found out that I am forced to pay over 400 dollars for an item I didn't purchase and didn't receive. I have escalated this to my bank. RUN DON'T WALK AWAY FROM THIS PLACE

Pros: It's confusing. I really do not have anything positive to write. I didn't even understand what Shop Pay is that I had to check the Shop Pay box in order to use Affirm for a purchase.
Cons: My debit card was canceled as it was compromised. As I have not yet received new card I attempted to change payment method. Shop Pay will not accept electronic check or credit card for an installment payment on purchases I have made several months ago. It was done with Affirm who will not either since Shop Pay is involved. Unbelievable.
Overall: Poor. There needs to be some explanation as to what Shop Pay is and it's role in purchasing and payments.

Pros: I have not found any pros to this product. I am a buyer, not a merchant who uses this payment processing. So this review is from a customer standpoint.
Cons: Inflexible, poor integration with some merchants' websites (eg., order history does not correctly transfer). Once you place an order, you are sometimes limited as to what you see when you view it, such as your original payment method (obviously, not your CC number, but at least what type of card you used, so if you're waiting for a refund or credit, you can figure out what card account to access). You can't cancel an order, change an order, or use a discount code in lieu of another promotion.
Awful all around.Overall: Terrible. I may stop shopping with merchants that use this payment process. It is not sophisticated or user-friendly enough.

Pros: Nothing. Their customer service is pathetic and they refuse to give you refunds. All you get is the runaround.
Cons: If you use their installment plan to buy an item and keep the item, there's no issue.
But if you use them and return the item, good luck in ever getting your refund. Once you locate their customer service phone number, which is near impossible, you can't understand what their employees are saying as they can barely speak English. I've sent them numerous emails and all I get is requests for additional documentation, order numbers or suggestions to contact the original vendor (which I already had done). And still. NO refund.Overall: Horrible!!!! Don't ever, ever use this company!!! You'll never get your money back if you ask for a ask for a refund.

Pros: Really can't think of any, their communication was bad and in general, why do we need a middle man when buying an item.
Cons: Well, their delivery took ages, so when I returned the item, it never reached them back and they of course refused to help as item never reached them. Delivery companies blame each other and I m the one that paid for the item and got nothing. It was $49 item...
Overall: Now if I want to buy an something and it's only via Shop Pay - I just don't buy that item. Won't make that mistake again.

Pros: Nothing. This company is horrible, unethical, deceitful and insert any other negative adjective you want.
Cons: EVERYTHING. Do not trust this company, avoid them at all costs if you actually can.
Overall: I have NO CLUE how this company got ahold of my information. They had my credit card / address / etc... When checking out of an online store based in the UK, they popped up and auto filled. I thought it was google or the actual company I was purchasing from working with google. It ended up in a single button purchase that screwed me out of 60 bucks.

In researching what the hell happened, I found out this company had basically tapped into my google account to access all my information. As I never chose to download / install this at all and the credit card information was only 1 month old due to requesting a new card.
This is ILLEGAL and this company should receive a class action law suit. They can all die and go to hell for this completely unethical behavior. -

Pros: Nothing is good about this company. Only that they take your money and refuse to refund it when the other business steals.
Cons: They take your money, they refuse to help the customer. Not one person can speak and they help the business to steal. I made a purchase through Bold and Beautiful fashion owned by Amanda on October 23rd 2022. Still to this day April 27th 2023 both shop pay/affirm and Amanda refuse to refund me my $184. I have sent emails/messages to both and yet neither will help. The last lady Lucy who is so called a supervisor said I have to wait longer to see if I will get my money lol. She was rude and very disrespectful. Y’all took my money and gave it to Amanda and refuse to refund me. I have sent an email to the BBB about this situation. PayPal would have refunded me and taken it further with Bold and beautiful. Sad how these two crappy businesses treat a paying customer. Y’all might want to treat customers better!!!!
Overall: Shop Pay/Affirm are horrible. Bold and Beautiful Fashion owned by Amanda takes money from customer and then blocks you. Both companies are pathetic.

Pros: At this point, I am at a loss to think of one single one. I guess the process of actually charging the purchase to Shop Pay was fairly straightforward -- but that would be it.
Cons: This company literally has the worst customer service of any company that I've ever dealt with in 40 years of retail purchases.
Overall: After spending two hours and twenty minutes and being bounced back and forth between three countries and nine representatives, we are at a stale mate. They said my account is linked to an email and credit card that are different than ALL of the purchasing and billing emails that I have received. I am now receiving daily collections texts and they still can't find an account linked to the emails that they're OWN statements are being sent to. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGHHHH!!!

Pros: Not a lot. I am not at all impressed with the service offered and would avoid using in the future. Enough said.
Cons: Shop Pay will not support you if you have a problem with your seller. PayPal readily steps in if there is a problem; with Shop Pay, you're on your own. If you happen to deal with a rogue trader, your payment is lost.
Overall: Poor. Shop Pay came up as a default payment option for a seller I had previously used. When there were problems, I soon realised there would be no support.

Pros: I can pay in installments as opposed to paying for the entire amount at once. There are no other “pros” to be considered.
Cons: Not careful about who they align with. I bought an item and used Shop Pay. They were VERY GOOD about withdrawing my money yet, haven’t done anything to protect me against people who take my money and don’t ship the product I purchased.
This is where PayPal excels! I can’t even get Shop Pay to reply.Overall: Not very good. With PayPal, I can trust that, if a scammer gets my money, it will be returned. Shop Pay has FAILED miserably!

Pros: The call finally ended and I vowed never to use this "service", deleted the account and app. The pro was that after the torture sessions dragged on past my breaking point, the experience ended.
Cons: The Level of Customer Service is Phenomenally Low, and that's understanding just how low the bar is in general. The "agents" could understand virtually nothing I said. I actually stayed on the line longer simply out of a sort of fascination with how abysmal it was. It seemed almost like a comedy show using hyperbole to make fun of just how bad customer service is!
And she kept saying "mhm" even when I asked a question. She talked without stopping even though she spoke incorrectly at nearly every single turn. An IQ of 5, listening comprehension skills of a cat.
Fact is I really don't think it was language issue. I think she, and the one before and the one before that, simply unintelligent, or perhaps they were intelligent but simply didn't listen or give a hoot.
It's two weeks. I've completely bailed out and given up because they absolutely suck and cannot function. Imagine an airline on this level: the plane falls apart on the runway. Waste of time.Overall: A total complete waste of your time. They didn't function at all. Could not get any loan, only a "technical problems" error code, for two weeks. Called them, they put me in touch with Affirm, Affirm put me in touch again with Shop Pay, customer disservice agents couldn't do listening comprehension, totally perfectly exquisitely unhelpful.

Cons: If you ever buy from a site that uses Shop Pay, prepare to have your entire identity and email address shared with any other site that uses them as well. As soon as you visit another site that uses Shop Pay, they share your information and now you're on their spam list. This is highly illegal and a violation of CANSPAM. How they aren't shut down is beyond me.
Overall: I will never buy from a site using Shop Pay. If you are a web retailer, and you use Shop Pay, I will actively avoid your site.
