SearchStax

Pros: SearchStax is a great tool that provides insight in most popular searches, click through rate and indicates how the content can be customized and built around the results.

Cons: Not having the possibility to increase number of search results per category and being limited to 10 results is a downside in my opinion.

Overall: My impression of the tool is very positive but looking forward to more updates that will improve overall usability.

Pros: We really liked the potential that the solution could provide, however, and specifically the support that they provide online.

Cons: Pricing structure was prohibitive to maintain as we host several very small files and are licensed by that volume. Other solutions were actually query based.

Overall: Overall the experience with SearchStax was bitter sweet. Other leadership felt that integration a different SaaS provider that had connectors and ML configurations to improve search capabilities is causing us to plan the sunset of the tool once migration occurs to new strategic Enterprise Search solution.

Pros: We received a recommendation to use SearchStax for our needs and we have learned why they were highly recommended. SearchStax is our best partner as they are professional, their product is reliable, and they understand our use cases.

Cons: None. I have high expectations when it comes to third party vendors, so it is extremely rare that I find no faults in our relationship with SearchStax.

Overall: We are appreciate working with a company like SearchStax. They are a model for all partners. Their sales and support staff are responsive and eager to help. The product is stable and truly meets the standards of a well-developed cloud-based solution.

Pros: Really easy to spin up indexes in SearchStax and let them handle the hard work so I can focus on the development.

Cons: Occasionally notice latency traveling to indexes for editors in Sitecore. The surprise overage charges out of nowhere.

Overall: Positive overall as it been very easy to integrate with Sitecore. I was a little upset over the overage charges. I also think the overage model is massively flawed and doesn't provide enough incentive to right size.

Pros: Compared to their direct competition, SearchStax is far more affordable.
Working with the SearchStax team, whether it is presales, support, or anything else, is easy and straightforward.
The feature set has everything I expect, and more.
Our customers appreciate the ability to search across multiple web properties from one search box.
SearchStax Studio is definitely category leading.

Cons: I am not sure I see any cons. As a developer I naturally prefer using a native service for the ultimate control, but search performance, features and reliability will always tend to be inferior, so I am willing to give up some control.

Overall: Overall, it has been a pleasure to work with SearchStax and put search on customer sites on steroids.
