If you raise money for a registered charity, we can automatically claim gift aid on your donations. Gift aid is not available if you raise money for your own cause. When you fundraise for a registered charity, donations are automatically sent to the charity. When you fundraise for your own cause, you will receive the funds directly into your chosen bank account. Whether you're helping a charity grow its impact, or directly helping people in need yourself, your page is making a difference. We ask you to set a target because fundraising pages with targets tend to raise more than those without. But even if you don’t hit your target, you’ll still receive any donations you’ve raised. If you’re raising funds around a particular event, then your page will close 3 months after the event ends. If you’re raising funds outside of an event (typically for a personal cause), your page stays open for 120 days by default. In either case, you can choose to extend your page duration at any time.
