About Protectimus

Protectimus SAAS two-factor authentication service is already set up in the cloud and available 24/7, just register and begin the integration via API or using a ready-made integration plugin. The Protectimus On-Premise MFA platform can be deployed on the premises of your organization or in a private cloud. Radius, Citrix NetScaler and XenApp VMWare, Active Directory, LDAP, Windows Logon, and RDP, OWA, ADFS, RoundCube, Dynamic Passwords, API, SDK, customized individual development. Dynamic Strong Password Authentication integrates directly with Microsoft Active Directory (or any other user directory) to add a six-digit password onto users’ static passwords. Today, data violation happens regularly. If you want to assure your data is thoroughly protected, strong authentication methods are vital. We are likely to display personal info without any outside intervention. But when it comes to business, we would not limit user authentication and identification to a single password.

    "On-Premise MFA for Fortigate VPN"

    Posted 2025-10-21

Pros: We implemented Protectimus RADIUS to add multi-factor authentication for our Fortigate VPN. We prioritized a solution that could run entirely on-premises, and Protectimus fit the bill perfectly. The installation went smoothly, and the support team was responsive and knowledgeable whenever we needed help.

We also looked at other solutions, but Protectimus stood out for its on-premise deployment, RADIUS integration, and overall ease of use.

Cons: Some parts of the admin interface and setup instructions could be clearer, but it has been a reliable and secure choice for our VPN environment.

Overall: Protectimus RADIUS is a dependable MFA solution for our Fortigate VPN. Its on-premise setup and RADIUS integration make it straightforward to use. The support team responds quickly. However, some admin instructions could be clearer.

"Great 2FA Solution for RDP Access"

    Posted 2024-12-19

Pros: The initial setup was straightforward and user-friendly.
Convenient OTP Delivery: The option to use a Telegram bot for receiving OTPs is a huge convenience.

Cons: Setting up the Telegram bot took extra time and required following additional instructions. Unlike the 2FA app, there is no option for automatic bot registration, which made the setup process more complex.

Overall: I've been using Protectimus for 2FA on my RDP connection to a Windows PC, and so far, it's been a great experience. The setup was simple, which I didn’t expect. Initially, I used a 2FA app, but later I switched to using a Telegram bot for receiving OTPs, which has been super convenient. If you're looking to enhance your login security, I highly recommend checking out Protectimus Winlogon.

"Using Protectimus Slim for VPN Access"

    Posted 2024-12-17

Pros: I use the Protectimus Slim hardware token to log into my account remotely via Cisco VPN. It was a company requirement, but I’ve had no issues with using MFA or carrying the OTP token with me. I know my account is much more secure this way. Since the token is the size of a card, I just keep it in my wallet, and it’s easy to take everywhere.

Cons: MFA has worked perfectly every time, and from what I hear, our admins are really happy with the product as well.

Overall: The Protectimus MFA as well as Slim token is easy to use, reliable, and keeps my account secure. It works smoothly, and both users and admins are happy with it.

    "Good Two-Factor Authentication for RDP"

    Posted 2023-11-03

Pros: We implement one-time password protection for our office Windows computers to secure remote access via RDP when our staff works remotely. The Protectimus solution was straightforward to set up, and the pricing is fair for our relatively small team. No regrets or drawbacks whatsoever.

Cons: Bot tokens cannot be automatically registered, and it's challenging to understand how to connect these tokens.

Overall: My overall experience with Protectimus multi-factor authentication solution for RDP is good. I am likely to recommend it to anyone who needs such a solution.

"We've had positive experiences with the Protectimus OWA software and tokens"

    Posted 2023-11-02

Pros: We use Protectimus software to secure our access to Outlook Web App (OWA) along with Protectimus Flex hardware tokens. Both the software and tokens perform excellently, consistently generating valid one-time codes. Using this product for several months now, we've encountered no issues or incidents. I'd say that's a solid outcome.

Cons: I don't see any drawbacks; perhaps it would be more convenient to use the app on the smartphone for generating one-time codes.

Overall: We've had a positive experience with Protectimus, using it without any issues for several months, so I can recommend it.
