"Poor design/ less than stellar service "

    Posted 2023-02-19

Pros: It prints quickly. It’s shiny. It seems to save paper. I’m struggling to reach a hundred words because this product is terrible. Don’t do it.

Cons: This was not set up by or even consulted by someone in the service industry. A user is unable to view all of the orders by seat number in one screen. The process of splitting checks can’t be done in one screen. All items offered are bundled in a poor way. It’s one long alphabetical list. There is no “repeat round” option for the sale of alcohol. Clunky and slow with too many hard stops. When the company rep came in to explain the operation of the system and questions were posed her answer is “Noit can’t do that.” It’s 2023 my phone could do it. Then the rep stayed for the first few days os the launch. These days were Tuesday through Thursday. They were long gone by the time the weekend rolled around. The staff as a whole was excited about the implementation of this system, but this system has led to delays in service and in the immediate short term increased delays and service and more importantly sales. I have been in the business for three decades and looking back on it an old NCR system using PLU’s was more efficient than this piece of garbage.

Overall: By far one of the most frustrating and clunky systems that I’ve ever used. It would be more effective to use carbon paper preset pads and a calculator. Had to have over 450 dollars worth of items voided last night in order to expedite a guest having their check processed. This took thirty minutes. I have had 400 dollars in voids total over the last five years.
