About Ownify
Ownify is a fractional homeownership program designed to make homeownership achievable for first-time buyers. By partnering with investors, Ownify enables buyers to purchase a home with as little as a 2% down payment, granting them a 2% equity stake upon closing. This approach transforms buyers into cash purchasers, covering additional upfront costs like due diligence fees and earnest money, thereby strengthening their position in competitive markets. Participants, referred to as "Ownis," make fixed monthly payments that are divided into two components: one portion acquires additional equity in the home, while the other covers occupancy costs, including maintenance, repairs, insurance, and taxes. This structure allows Ownis to incrementally increase their ownership over time. After five years, Ownis typically own approximately 10% of their home's equity and have the option to purchase the remaining equity at fair market value or cash out and walk away.
