"Easy to use, modern and flexible"

    Edited 2020-11-23

Pros: Open edX comes with a built-in authoring tool called Studio which offers by default a wide range of different component types. This allows course creators and educators to build diversified, engaging and interactive courses. It is easy to use both from the learner's (LMS) and the educator's (Studio) point of view.
In case the default available component types do not cover the respective requirements, the platform can be easily extended (among others via LTI). Open edX is a great and modern platform to transfer and query knowledge.

Cons: A product that lives through the active exchange and work of a worldwide community of experienced frontend and backend developers should also provide features by standard that enable the work as a learning community. This aspect is still expandable.

Overall: Concluding, Open edX is a great product, which is especially characterized by its user-friendliness, the simple but effective learner guidance and the different functionalities and options.
It is extendable and customizable in a high level. The platform can be seamlessly integrated into an existing infrastructure.
