"Astounding. I can "edit" a transaction, but not create one?!!?" Posted 2024-02-01
Pros: Appreciated that I could manually add my bank accounts. Stunned to realize there is NO WAY to create a transaction. I have to import from a CSV file.
This is an AMAZING program with a HUGE flaw.
Would like to be able to customize categories.Cons: Cannot create transactions, or customize categories.
Overall: An exercise in frustration, unable to complete simple steps because they do not exist.

"This is what I've been looking for for years!" Posted 2023-10-20
Pros: Neontra provides lots of powerful features. Some of them have been implemented ahead of competitors. And they fill the gap between the needs of PFM and what's available out there. It is designed and delivered by people who truly understand the world of finance equipped with smart engineering.
Cons: At first glance it might be overwhelming since it provides so many features.
Overall: I wish everyone starts using Neontra since it will make your life easier. Regardless of the stage of life you are at, a proper solution can always be found here.

"Finally a true all-in-one financial app" Posted 2023-10-19
Pros: Handle all your finances not just cash.
Health checks.
Goal setting and tracking.
Forward looking.
Manual and/or automatic import.Cons: Can be overwhelming at first.
A bit rough around the edges.
Only supports automatic imports for US and Canada.Overall: This is a very powerful app with a lot of features. The learning curve is a bit steep, but it has the potential replacing multiple apps + spreadsheets most people are using, since it combines budgeting, expense tracking, investing and financial planning. Really looking forward to seeing where they take this next!

"Solid, affordable PFA" Posted 2023-08-31
Pros: I used to use Mint but Neontra is better. I like that you can either connect your accounts for automatic transaction import, or manually upload your transactions using files you download from your banking website. The cashflow section is really useful for showing your income vs. expenses over different time periods, and can give a lot of insight as to where you're spending your money.
Cons: The mobile app seems a bit buggy, but I've mostly been using the web app.
Overall: I like it, and would recommend checking it out. Nothing to lose since it's free. It seems as good or better than other PFAs that aren't free.

"Great tool with lots of potential " Posted 2023-08-23
Pros: - Very comprehensive and powerful personal finance money management tool
- Simplifies expense tracking, budgeting
- Can manage all your traditional and non-traditional investments
- The Health Check feature is a great snapshot of your entire financial life with some interesting ratios I never considered before
- Calendar view with all your spending summed by day, week is a nice simple way to monitor spending
- It’s freeCons: - It has a lot of features which take some time to learn
- Can be a bit overwhelming
- Initial setup can be intimidating
- No Google or Apple sign inOverall: What separates this app from Mint and YNAB is really the forecasting where they model your future spending and project your Net Worth into future. Although, it’s still in beta I am interested to see how this feature evolves.

"A personal finance app that feels like the future" Posted 2023-08-18
Pros: Tonnes of potential here. This app feels like it could be the one to actually help people plan for a better financial future.
Cons: Missing a few minor conveniences for budgeting, but that's about it.
Overall: Very excited to see where Neontra goes. I have been using PFMs for 10+ years and haven't been this excited about an app since Mint came out.

"Worth a free trial. Great customer support" Posted 2023-07-31
Pros: Excellent support, super responsive team. Nice modern layout, easy to use. Made in Canada by a Canadian team.
Cons: Missing some features that bigger apps have, but they've just started and are already pretty good.
Overall: Overall a good app, worth a try. Way better than my old spreadsheet. If I can come back and update the review after using it for a while I will, but for now I'm happy with it.

"Easy to use and affordable app for managing personal finances" Posted 2023-07-06
Pros: Excellent web interface. All my accounts, assets and investments are managed in one panel. The cashflow section shows my income and spending by category in any time frame I choose and selecting the category shows a list of transactions for that category/period which is really convenient. I can override the suggested spending forecast with my own amounts which allows the totals to be more accurate. Charts and visualizations are very helpful in identifying trends in areas where I am overspending. Way more affordable that their competitors!
Cons: Some features are missing, but the product is in beta and new features are being added every month, so I will have to update this review. Same auto-sync issues as everyone else. No credit score.
Overall: Very promising product. You can tell the development team actually uses their own product and cares about the experience.
