"Not Worth It" Posted 2024-01-10
Pros: I didn't notice any positives other than scanning my downloads. Rescanning my computer with Malwarebytes, it missed SO MUCH.
Cons: Had to do so much research and uninstalling after realizing they were somehow changing my browser to redirect to Yahoo from Google. SO ANNOYING.
Overall: Waste of time, not a good product, basically a scam so they can make money off of Yahoo clicks. Should be reported to someone cause WOW.

"Yahoo Secure Search Virus" Posted 2023-09-05
Pros: Performs functions of most standard web protectors. Tested on some confirmed malicious sources to ensure it worked.
Cons: Leaves a redirect virus that is left over and re-installs itself even after uninstalling McAfee Web Advisor. Had to remove registry data to resolve the issue.
Overall: Yahoo Secure Search Virus made me pull my hair out. While the extension worked itself, it's not worth the hassle of dealing with the reinstallation of the secure yahoo search engine. This is malware in itself.

"It's a scam" Posted 2023-06-14
Pros: There are none, it's a virus. There's nothing good to say about the product at all.
Cons: Any so called anti virus program that installs itself without permission and then cannot be deleted is clearly a scam. It adds no value to you at and just slows your computer down with continued popups. The people who operate these kinds of service are trying to trick you out of your money and will kill your computer to do it.
Overall: Scam app that installed itself on my computer and could not easily be deleted. From what I can see online this is what they do to every user, I would be very surprised if anyone has ever actually willingly bought this awful product.

"Once Useful, Now Annoying" Posted 2021-08-16
Pros: Warns you about suspicious links, scans your downloads, generally saves you from yourself when it comes to online security.
Cons: Used to say there were no cons but as of this morning literally every time I switch to a new webpage it pops up an ad for McAfee secure search which is absolute garbage. It's annoying enough that I would rather risk the dangers I listed in the pro's section than keep it installed.
Overall: Used to be a good product now it's just an ad for a different product and unless you want another 60-70 pop up ads per day, I don't recommend it.
