"Good for beginners, or if you don't have access to a full featured digital audio workstation" Posted 2021-05-30
Pros: I got a copy of Magix Music Maker in a bundle sale and decided to try my hand at making some lit tracks. I liked how
- the software has different "modes" for users of different levels of experience
- there are plenty of tutorials for how to create certain common effects
- the selection of instrument types is pretty diverseCons: If you want specific genres of music, Magix sells those under different add on licenses. For example, there's the Magix Music Maker Hip Hop edition , another for 80s style music, EDM, and trap beats. You can try them out via the free trial, so that's nice...but still, if you're paying for the Magix Music Maker it feels bad to need to pay to access "special editions"
Overall: I enjoyed using Magix Music Maker as my first foray into mixing my own tracks. But my more involved friends recommend other digital audio workstations for a wider range of sounds and samples.
