About Lord of the Rings Online
Lord of the Rings Online was officially launched on April 24th, 2007 by Turbine and later acquired by Standing Stone Games. It is a free game where players create a character and explore an online recreation of Middle-Earth. Depending on which race you pick there are four starting towns. There is Archer, the Elvish Celondim, the Dwarven Thorin’s Gate and Little Delving of the Shire. In this massive multiplayer game, you can investigate your favorite locations. Explore the farmlands of the Shire or enter Bag End. Drink at the Green Dragon Inn or Prancing Pony. Explore Weathertop or approach the stronghold of Helm's Deep. The unique story happens alongside the fellowship quest and sometimes even gets intertwined.
