    "Difficult to manipulate on ipad"

    Posted 2021-01-04

Pros: It's a design tool. I was looking for a design tool. That's really all I can say about what I like about it. I was a little spoiled with sweet home 3D because it is very user-friendly. It is available on an iPad. Sweethome3d is not available on an iPad, as far as I can tell.

Cons: I cannot figure out how to move the little person whose view you are looking at without actually moving him using the keys to move him throughout the house. With Sweet Home 3D, you can put your finger on the little camera and move it to where you want it to be to start with. I do not see this program has that option. Navigating the little person is a bit tricky. Also, I am finding it difficult to change the swing on a door to go from an inside swing to an outside swing. Also, you cannot change the color of items at least as far as I can figure out. So perhaps this program has these features and it's just difficult to figure out how to use it. I suppose I will need to watch some training videos to figure out how to use it.

Overall: It is disappointing and frustrating to not be able to make modifications that I want to make without hunting and hunting to try to figure out how to do it and sometimes not finding the answer. I'm talking about making and moving walls primarily. The furniture slides in and can be deleted. However, on my iPad, manipulating the placement of the furniture is difficult. Sometimes it is not responsive sometimes it is overly responsive. It seems to be difficult to get things to line up directly with the wall either it's 1% over 1% under Etc.

Hi Synthia, thanks for using Live Home 3D and writing the review. I am happy to help you get familiar the app: 1. Not sure what do you mean with the “little person”, but there are several ways to navigate inside your 3D model. One of the possibilities is to use gestures. There is also a specialized tool called the Walk Control. You can operate it like a joystick. Gestures To look around preserving your point of view, swipe to the left or right with one finger. To move forward or backward, place two fingers on the screen and move them forward or backward (in case you keep the screen horizontally). You can learn more about using gestures in Live Home 3D in the Gestures section of the online help manual: https://www.livehome3d.com/support/lh3d-ios-help/live-home-3d-workspace-gestures Walk Control The Walk Control appears at the bottom of the 3D view. It consists of a joystick that lets you move horizontally, and a slider that changes the elevation. To show or hide the Walk Control, tap the button near the bottom left corner of the screen. To operate the joystick, move its handle within the dark area. The farther you pull the handle off the center, the faster you move. 2. To change the swing on a door, you have to select it. To do this, tap on it in the 2D or 3D view. Then tap on the Inspector (i) button in the top right of the screen. There, you’ll be able to flip the object, rotate it, change its size etc. More info on working with doors, windows and openings here: https://www.livehome3d.com/support/lh3d-ios-help/working-with-objects-windows-doors-and-openings 3. To change the color of items, you have to select an item and tap on the Library button in the top right of the screen. The second tab there is Materials panel, where you can find the material and color you need, as well as edit materials. Materials are grouped into categories by types. To open the contents of a category, tap on its icon. To use the material, simply tap and hold and drop on the desired object. You can learn more about the Materials panel here: https://www.livehome3d.com/support/lh3d-ios-help/working-with-materials-the-material-library-panel 4. To create a wall, you should open the Tools panel and choose the wall type you want to build. To move a wall, select it and drag the middle of the wall or one of its ends on the floor plan . This page explains how to create, move and edit walls in detail: https://www.livehome3d.com/support/lh3d-ios-help/working-with-objects-walls If you have any further questions, you can check out the online help manual (https://www.livehome3d.com/support/lh3d-ios-help/index-detailed), our collection of video tutorials (https://www.livehome3d.com/ios/live-home-3d#tutorials) or contact our support team at support@belightsoft.com and we’ll be happy to assist you.
