"Still happy enough after 6 months" Edited 2023-04-14
Pros: Follow-up after 6 months. One re-boot for some back-end hardware work, but decent warning and explanation. Else the VM has been flawless and performance remains solid.
One request for help which was a mis-understanding on my part of the VM's network interfaces. Support was quick, accurate, helpful and polite.
In spite of having to use a credit-card (instead of crypto) I added more money to my account with the expectation of continuing to use LightNode's service. Billing has been low maintenance and hassle-free so far.Cons: As last time (and some may have changed because I didn't go through the latest news before writing this.)
- Crypto payments would be welcome.
- Better flexibility with elastic IP's.
- Better flexibility with mountable volumes.
- Cheap block/object storage for backup reasons would be nice.Overall: I would recommend this service for cheap and reasonable single-instance deployments, gateway nodes, etc. Without some of the things I've listed as 'cons', I probably would not suggest the service for more complex multi-node systems implemented in a custom manner.

Reasonably accessible via main in-country ISP and from the cell carriers. This is highly important to me in an era of increasing lock-down and control of networks and I hope that LightNode (or whoever) can maintain this situation or the service would become useless to me. -

"A nice new provider" Posted 2023-03-09
Pros: There are some featured country nodes, which is why I chose them.
The price is also very cheap, and after testing there is no significant overselling.
The network is stable and I have deployed both WordPress and WooCommerce without any inaccessibility.Cons: No cPanel yet, can only use the WordPress application image they provide to deploy.
Single product category, only VPS.Overall: Many locations, cheap prices, not enough product variety. I've seen their ads in many places and they basically meet my needs.

Pros: Sadly no pros in this service. I tried hard to get a refund, but they do not care about it so i can't give any pros.
Cons: Not recommended for these reasons:
- RDP they provide not elastic IPs are different with Server
- RDP Are low Quality with different langue for example if you take the RDP of the UK you will get a system with Chinese language
- Support does not care about your case
- Poor Service Poor Servers Poor SupportOverall: I ask them to refund my money they even care about me. I wish I didn't lose my money and I recommend always paying with PayPal.

"Pleased so far" Edited 2022-09-07
Pros: I've only used it for a week, but:
- Good performance (low-end instance).
- Works pretty much as expected.
- Decent pricing.Cons: - Cannot pay using cryptocurrency
- I wish IPV4 addresses could be leases/switched more flexibly, but I've not had that problem yet.
- Block Storage says cannot be mounted on a different instance.
Neutral: failure to look up a benign domain addy with supplied nameservers, but adding to resolv.conf fixed the issue.Overall: Tried it since I'm only a few islands away from an 'exotic' location and have a crap telco fiber to my home, and it's just like a machine in my home for command-line use. First VPS I've used since AWS 15 years ago, and it's feature set is as expected. No surprises. I was able to build world and kernel and compile from ports (FreeBSD) with no issues (amd64 GENERIC kernel worked fine.)

I'm sure I'll have more pro and con comments with more use, but for now that's my report and it's passed my initial tests/needs with flying colors.Reply from LightNode
