About Lexia Core5 Reading

Lexia® Core5® Reading is an adaptive blended learning program that accelerates the development of literacy skills for students of all abilities, helping them make that critical shift from learning to read to reading to learn. Elementary school years are a pivotal time for reading development, as they create a foundation for learning across all subject areas. Yet, according to the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), year after year, roughly 60% of American fourth-graders are not reaching reading proficiency. For these children, literacy will continue to present a steeper uphill climb in the absence of targeted instruction and intervention. Core5 was developed with a mission to mitigate that gap. Built on structured literacy, Core5 is intended to help provide equitable learning opportunities for all students, as well as to transform student learning for success and well-being. We enable educators to provide differentiated literacy instruction for students.

    Pros: Initial assessment is fast and accurate. The students love using it and it develops core knowledge as well as reading skills.

    Cons: You'll need the app if using an iPad. It is more expensive than other software because it offers so much more.

    Overall: Absolutely love it! The students love to use it and it has the best support materials for teachers, If you like data this is next level.
