Rockhound
Rockhound, originally introduced as smarts, is a software platform designed to implement real-time data acquisition solutions from streams of one or more digitizers and perform vital functions on the data that are critical to the end user. The platform is modular as a building block structure where each module within a specific implementation may be connected in many useful and different ways. Developed in Java, the Rockhound software platform can be run on a variety of operating systems, including Microsoft’s Windows, multiple Mac OS, and Linux. Also available is an optional software development Kit that allows users to create their own custom Rockhound modules for integrating with existing modules supplied by Kinemetrics. With the optional kit, users would be able to create their own specialized post-processing, data storage, notification, triggering, filtering, and other functions.

GeoStreamer
Multisensor GeoStreamer is the ideal platform for broadband imaging. Deep towing reduces weather impact and improves acquisition efficiency. Recorded signal is insensitive to variations in towing depth or local sea-surface variations, significantly reducing non-repeatable noise on reservoir monitoring projects. Pre-stack amplitude and phase are consistent in an angle-dependent and frequency-dependent manner. Rich low-frequency signal enhances Full Waveform Inversion (FWI) and improves the accuracy of subsurface property prediction. Multisensor wavefield separation enables better shallow illumination. Near-surface images unaffected by acquisition footprint effects can be used for standalone interpretation. Enhanced broadband resolution of stratigraphy assists the recovery of small time shifts related to changes in reservoir saturation and pressure during reservoir monitoring projects. GeoStreamer uses both hydrophones and velocity sensors to remove all free-surface ghost reflections.
