    "Affordable inventory keeper"

    Posted 2023-02-02

Pros: I am a very small business/sole proprietor that does need to track inventory. I used Quickbooks many years ago but it was way more program than I needed, plus expensive out of the box. Most other inventory programs are subscription based and cost more than I hoped to spend given my needs, and I was surprised at how few choices there were at the low volume/small business level. I've now been using this product for about three years and have been very happy with it; it works in conjunction with NCH's other product, Express Invoice, which I use to input sales. You can export data and sales into CSV files, which I find helpful so that I can import the data into pre-set Google Sheets templates I have set up to calculate end of year inventory and sales at tax time.

Cons: Was surprised/disappointed that the inventory cost doest not allow for anything beyond two decimal points for making precise inventory cost of goods. Also wished there was a little bit more flexibility in customizing reports. But given the affordable cost of this product, I can't complain and these were acceptable tradeoffs for me that I could live with.

Overall: This is a very good product in a product category—i.e., a stand alone inventory application (and associated invoice/billing programs) at a reasonably price point that seems to have no comparable rival among any of the programs I researched and reviewed.
