Hive

Pros: Hive is the only DPoS fully-decentralized blockchain in the world. Its fee-less with 3 sec blocks. The system is fully-transparent and designed for ease of access. Everything is modular as far as blockchain tech can be and due to that can fit any application without undue resource allocation.

Cons: Decentralization in terms of ecosystem and contributor sync isn't easy but is worth it.

Overall: The only blockchain and ecosystem I have full faith in when it comes to my time and money. With Hive there are no risks that some CEO will terminate the project on a whim; Hive is highly stable and can be used, built on and invested in with confidence.

Pros: - Has a lot of development/ front ends etc
- Good price point
- Hive engine
- Splinterlands links

Cons: - Full censorship, the way the platform runs there is absolutely no decentralisation a handful of whales control everything and can take posts to 0 and basically eradicate you from the platform just because they don't like you or an opinion
- Constant fighting
- Ability for anyone richer than you to take away all your earnings, just one rich whale who doesn't like you and you will effectively earn 0
- Not much of a community, some smaller communities have a decent community but overall a lot of just 'thats nice' comments.

Overall: There are good features about this platform, it used to be good for splinter lands too but the bad just outweighs the good. There is no freedom of speech at all, and a small circle of whales or just one can just take anyone they want to 0 and take away all earnings. It is probably the most centralised of them all. It is also just full of constant arguing between creators and witnesses.

Pros: Censor free. The Decentralized model means no biased "fact-checkers" editing or blocking your posts. One of the few blockchain where you can increase your holdings by voting and posting. Like getting paid to cruise those other social media platforms. Can earn even if price goes down and then keep earning that expands even more when price goes back up!

Cons: User interface is better using Ecency or PeakD front ends.
Can be complicated to setup initial account. Ecency makes that easier!

Overall: Been on it 4 years now and love it! I've increased my investment by over 10 times. I like the decentralized feature the most. Keeps the private "fact-checking" and biased filtering out of the mix.

Pros: Hive provides a place to truly stretch out on my FULL creativity, and gave me the confidence to move my writing into the world on a larger scale -- writing, music, visual art, short film, etc -- and to be able to live ALL AROUND on those things because I learned about the crypto world BECAUSE I was on Hive. Now I am exploring the world of passive income and DeFi through Hive Power and HBD savings (TWENTY PERCENT INTEREST!!!!), and able to turn small rewards into long-term investments.

Cons: Hive is based on community, and has some "neighborhoods" that have people in them who behave like big rich brats because back in the day, when Hive was down in price, they had a ton of clout and used it to reward their favorites and contain those who are not. It frustrates some of them to see people in the Global South getting their lives NOW with the increase in the price of Hive, living on their rewards NOW while that still can't be done in USD and Euro terms in Hive. However, the community of Hive is big enough and robust enough that one can avoid the foolishness.

Overall: Excellent. There are a few annoyances, but that's called being in an imperfect world. I use the PeakD front-end for the Hive blockchain and navigate with ease through all my creating, scheduling, and placing my rewards where they can grow with ease ... every little piece of effort is honored and multiplied! I am actively introducing Hive to others as well!

Pros: *It has many communities to grow.

*There is a lot of educational content.

*It's linked to Splinterlands and Rising Stars, great games to produce some more. And there are communities for each of those games where you can publish and get rewarded for it.

Cons: I see room for improvement in the security system in terms of passwords.

Sometimes there is some fighting between whales that is detrimental to content creators.

Overall: I have been using the platform for more than a year now and it has generated a good income that has helped me to overcome the severe crisis that has hit my country, Venezuela.

Pros: While this blockchain looks like it's just for indelible and uncensorable social media, it is actually a bottom layer for a plethora of applications. The biggest player being a NFT card game "Splinterlands." This blockchain is environmentally friendly, scalable, and fast. Right now it's a cozy little place at the edge of the crypto galaxy, with potential to become a major hub.

Cons: It is not like most other blockchains so the learning curve is a little steep. Had to learn about "Hive Power" and "Resource Credits." You can't interact much with the blockchain until you know how those work.

Overall: After getting over the learning curve, Hive is a joy to interact with. The community, for the most part, is friendly and invested in the blockchain's success.

Pros: It is an excellent chain of blocks, also my favorite social network. It has a very stable cryptocurrency and a fairly large ecosystem. I highly recommend it.

Cons: So far there is nothing i dislike about hive. It is a very complex platform.

Overall: My experience has been satisfactory in every way, the NFT games on Hive are fabulous. It is a very cool platform.

Pros: Hive has what most blockchains are lacking: feeless transactions, 3 sec transaction time, a big community, strong development and the list just goes on.

Cons: There isn't a single entity pushing development; but that's decentralization and actually even a good attribute.

Overall: Hive has been completely overlooked as a technology and as a community. We already have what most chains are trying to achieve. There are many apps in development and we can already show extremely successful ones (Splinterlands as an example).

Pros: Great communities and earning potential. Although I prefer to hodl, it's available as an extra source of funds when needed. It's definitely not a get rich quick scheme, so if you're a long term player, you're bound to earn well. Newly updated 20% interest on hbd savings is insanely good!

Cons: It can be frustrating for newbies. Limited resource credits makes it difficult to post and comment. It has a bit of a learning curve, but hey, what doesn't?

Overall: I came from the early days (2017) on Steemit and jumped into Hive a few months ago. Support is great! I'd highly recommend Hive to any user that enjoys engaging and creating quality content.

Pros: Talking about Hive is talking about personal motivation and growth. When they told me about a social network that rewarded me for publishing, voting and commenting, I couldn't believe it. I had to try it to believe it, it turned out much more than that, I have friends around the world without leaving my house. I have money with which I can support my family and buy my things. I recreate my mind by publishing, I express myself without fear of censorship.

Cons: I think that Hive has nothing against it and if there was any problem, it would be fixed with some consensus. The developers are always aware of the correct use and to improve it for the benefit of all.

Overall: Finding a job in a full-time company is no longer a problem for me, I can do my work from home (because I consider Hive a company that gives me work).

Pros: Everything from posts to comments you leave back are rewardable on HIVE and the best part is that you are in full control of your wallet and the content you put up. The transactions on the platform are super fast.

It’ll take you just about a week to familiarise yourself with platform and understand the overall workings.

Makes you feel independent once you start doing well here making quality content.

Cons: 1) Managing the people you’ve onboarded onto the platform needs to be improved

2) BeeChat not having support for the Hive signer login yet is another issue, I till date haven’t been able to chat with the people i've met on this platform apart from Discord

Overall: The people here the community and support are phenomenal, The wide variety of content available on the platform is pretty amazing. Joining this platform will eventually be one of the best decisions you will make.

Pros: I do love everything about Hive, what i love most about the system is the freedom of speech and financial literacy that it offers to all its users. Just give it a try and thanks me in 1 month time.

Cons: I don't like it that Hive doesn't get the publicity it needed yet.

Overall: Absolutely, a one of a kind experience in this lifetime for me and i can say that for anyone who give it a try. Don't say i didn't warn you....it's #ADDICTIVE.

Pros: As a social media mainly, it's decentralized and censorship free. People are nice to each other. You get the chance of meeting cool new friends.
Transactions are instant and free. We've got community tokens too!

Cons: It's harder to understand in the beginning, but as long as you use it you're about to learn many new things about crypto and any other sphere ;)

Well it was 'Steem' before, but since March 2020 our blockchain was forked from it and it is much more pleasant experience overall...

Pros: Hive is a proof of stake platform, meaning it’s cheap, fast, and secure to use.
There is a strong passionate community behind it.
New things are being developed on the platform all the time.

Cons: You need a little bit of technical know-how to fully understand how to use it.

Overall: Hive provides a strong base for many great web3 projects. Many more keep popping up as well from games like Splinterlands to blogging sites like Peaked. There is something for everyone.

Pros: HIVE is a decentralized blockchain platform. It is a social network that provides various opportunities for users. It offers open and public spaces for anyone who wants to save, share and publish quality content. I like HIVE because I can write about any topic, show my creations, interact with many people and get to know the world. HIVE offers a very attractive reward system.

Cons: So far I like everything about HIVE. However, I would be more satisfied if I could easily find the rules by which I should follow in order not to make any mistake. That is to say, to know all its rules in general and in detail. That's all.

Overall: I have been a HIVE user for three years. It is quite a complex and interesting platform. Every day I learn something new about it. I am glad to be part of hive because I have grown personally, spiritually and as a content creator. For me HIVE is the ultimate.

Pros: I love hive because of the fact that it allows me to freely express what I like and to know that my content is my property and not some third party that can take advantage of it without consulting me first, in addition to all the great communities that exist within hive and the way it allows you to interact with other users with similar tastes to yours. Another nice thing about hive is not having the intrusive advertising that other platforms have or that they are not collecting our information to be sold later.

Cons: It is a platform that is not yet perfect, they could improve some things such as the design of the page or facilitate when writing without having to depend on a Markdown to give it the style that one is looking for, but as I said Hive continues to improve with each day that happens.

Overall: Hive is a great place where you can find a little bit of everything from streaming, videos, recipes, life blogs, talking about topics like pets or love and sexuality and the best of all is that the economic benefit of our publications are for one and for its community, not for companies that take advantage of users, I firmly believe that hive will be a good example of what web3.0 will be.

Pros: So many pros: incentivized engagement by rewarding content creators and curators, the amazing second layer smart contract sidechain called Hive Engine, the total control I have of my content and wallet-- my keys, my crypto-- as well as the variety of platforms for blogging, video, audio, games and more! And the community is always looking to make itself better.

It's the next generation of blogging and social media. Period.

Cons: The user base is still pretty small... and it can get a bit heated under the collar with the politics of everything. But that illustrates how tightly-knit the community is.

The learning curve is a bit high, and onboarding is still a tedious process. It's early days though, so we should smooth these things out in time.

Overall: My experience has been amazing! I love the idea that I'm being rewarded for the same stuff other people do for free (and I do it without the corporate, woke nonsense). It's the place for me... and I'm trying to get everyone I know on-board.

Pros: Hive has free transactions of 3 seconds or less and has an ecosystem with many Dapps and second layer tokens with which you can make DEFi or also invest in games, it's amazing.

Cons: So far I haven't found any cons, maybe the powerdown time or the 13 weeks unstake represents something negative for many but I know that will be fixed soon with the new hard fork.

Overall: I have been using the platform for a little more than 1 year and 4 months and the truth is incredible what it has allowed me to do within it, I have played investing in NFTs and its value has not been lost, when in other games outside this chain have fallen in price multiple times.

Pros: Currently there are different alternatives to communicate on social networks, but hive is based on web 3.0, safe and with freedom of expression.
Informational, entertainment, community building, education, perseverance, love, companionship.

Cons: Not having known before the project, permanent development and therefore, it is appropriate to wait.

Overall: Hive will be one of the largest communities and projects in all of web 3.0. Your token will be one of the top 100 and then the top 50.

Pros: Web3 incentives to use this social network make it quite vivid. The ecosystem includes many communities, community based projects and DApps.

Cons: As a social network with its own dynamics, it has a learning curve until the new profiles find their space.

Overall: Easy to use and versatile platform. This social network has an ecosystem that keeps it in constant evolution.
