FAXAGE

Pros: Inexpensive, secure, and easy to use. I like the ability to retrieve prior faxed materials when I need to.

Cons: Blacklisting numbers is clumsy. Adding new numbers to the phone book can be unintuitive, but still not bad.

Overall: I have had two prior internet fax services. Both were more expensive and clumsier to use. Faxage has been easy to use and has been a real pleasure. You upload your files, enter a fax number and it's on it's way.

I have yet to see any internet fax that makes it easy for me to edit a cover page. Faxage does not give any cover page editing capability at all at my level (Professional). So, as with my previous internet faxes, I have learned to just generate mine on a word processor. (One of my previous faxes changed fonts unpredictably, so the cover page came out looking like an old time ransom note.) With Faxage, it is very easy to upload multiple files, so this is not much of a problem. Still, it would be easier to customize the cover page.

My biggest complaint is that it is inconvenient to tag spam faxes and blacklist them. Once you receive a spam fax, you have to write down the number, go to a separate page, bring up the blacklist and then enter the new number in it. Far from impossible, but it's an annoyance and I don't always get the number blacklisted. As a result, I'm getting more spam than I got anywhere else.

Still, Faxage is inexpensive, works well, and I'm quite happy with it. I expect I'll be with them for the foreseeable future.
