EasyShifts

Pros: Easy to enter shifts, switch sifts, make templates. Very user friendly for new hires. Clear and easy to view on a computer or a phone. This is the best scheduling program I have used, and I've been in this business for 30 years.

Cons: If there was a way to add a row or additional department after it's "created", but I'm not sure how that would work if there are already people scheduled on that day/week. Otherwise I can't think of anything else I would change.

Pros: The template helps keeping everyone in the spots that they are supposed to be in. I love the way it shows me who could be in OT and what shifts are open.

Cons: I feel like there are a lot of steps when putting people in on only partial shifts

Overall: Overall I feel like this is a very good app to use every day. The staff are able to navigate it well and feel comfortable using it.

Pros: Very easy to use and understand, easy to get new people logged in and use, love that you can communicate through the app.

Cons: Can not think of anything i did not like about EasyShifts.

Overall: my overall experience of EasyShifts is wonderful! It is very easy to understand and communicate over the app and website.

Pros: User friendly, easy to navigate. The administers along with the staff find the app user friendly. Easy to pick up shift, put shifts up for grabs, leave notes for staff.

Cons: None found as of now, I will update this as needed if any are found or thought of.

Overall: We have been utilizing this software for a little over a year. We have had many different users and have had lots of success with it.

Pros: Ease of use and how readily available it is even while on the go as well as the features that are within the app make it that much more user friendly.

Cons: I have nothing poor to say about EasyShifts or the customer support.

Overall: Makes scheduling that much easier and is great on the go. Friendly customer service that is also provided in a timely manner.

Pros: EasyShifts is a very easy scheduling system to use all I have to do is add our new hires to easy shift go in put there block schedule and they are all set. I even like the fact that if the staff need to request days off and do not have the PTO time available EasyShifts will still let the staff request off. I can block any overtime shifts from employee that are trying to pick up but has not been approved due to over time there is a way to lock it until the admin say it's okay for them to have the overtime hours. I can put the reason why the staff didn't show up to work and also if I have any trainees, they will see who they are training with for that day. EasyShifts is the way to go.

Cons: The only thing I'm having trouble with is when I put the new hires in, I have to delete what i published already in order for them to see their schedule. I have been having the new hires wait until the following month to see their schedule on EasyShifts.

Overall: Overall, everything else has been okay. EasyShifts has what your building needs. EasyShifts is one click away.

Pros: Employees can see each others schedules

Able to free text specific labels (frequently changes at our clinic/lets employees know specifics without managers needing to contact the employee)
Tracking of absences (various different absences too)
Allows bulk scheduling for the repeated/standard shifts
Seeing what other changes admins have made to existing shifts

Cons: Sometimes employees get notifications at "2 am" that a shift was modified/deleted - Not sure if our account is set up on a different time zone?
Other than that, nothing!

Overall: We started out with ADP scheduling and it was not ideal for several departments at our company. It caused so many barriers and added more work onto management. Since going to EasyShifts, it feels like a weight has been lifted in my workload because of all the pros I outlined above.
Employees have given great feedback as well!

Pros: I love the master schedule, it makes scheduling so much faster and easier. I'm surprised I've never had that option with any other scheduling software before. I like that I can record absences from the schedule, it helps me keep track of attendance for my monthly reports.

Cons: Updating shifts in the app, but still able to update in the webmode on my phone!

Overall: I am truly happy my office decided to make this switch. Scheduling for the front team of almost 20 employees takes time and is one of the hardest tasks, but EasyShifts has made that so much easier for me.

Pros: EasyShifts is very user friendly. We are able to manage our scheduling needs easily and efficiently. We can separate users by location and can easily distinguish which providers each nurse is working with on a daily basis.

Cons: EasyShifts logs me out if I'm not active for a certain timeframe. However, this is not a huge burden.

Overall: Overall, my experience with EasyShifts has been short, but great! There aren't many things about EasyShifts that I don't like; it's a great tool for us!

Pros: Introduction letter to nurses on how to set.
Easy to enter open shifts, and easy for nurses to gain access and pick up shifts, or make other changes.

Cons: Does not give access to clients to add shifts.
Does not allow to addition to add multiple shifts at a time in a day.
Does not allow you to automatically add or delete clients.

Overall: Great tool for scheduling, user friendly, and it has tutorial for support, live support available when needed.

Pros: I'm not a fan of the update. it is not user friendly it was nicer before. and the price goes up and it is not user friendly for the staff as well.

Cons: I do not like the fact that I cannot just leave it up on my desktop all day when I go to do something it makes me resign in.

Overall: I liked it before the update. If you could make it that I don't have to log in every 5 min that would be great.

Pros: Really appreciated all of the help with getting our template created in easy shifts and having it auto-populate into the weekly rotation. Being able to view multiple schedules in different departments and also cross utilize employees. Having live access to the schedule from cell phone. Also like that employees can trade shifts on their own, and enter their pto requests for me to approve at a later date.

Cons: Do not like that I cannot view the department schedule by each 2 week pay period or by the month. Do not like that our daily schedule doesn't show that someone is off on PTO.

Overall: EasyShifts has improved our department's scheduling overall. It is much better than Xcel or paper calendars. I do wish the schedule had different views available such as every 2 weeks, monthly, or even quarterly.

Pros: We use this for 4 different teams across 4 hospitals and everyone can see who is working at each site so they know who to contact if an issue should arise. It has made flexing to other sites more accessible. It is easy to pull up on computer or phone to see and make changes if necessary.

Cons: When a team member leaves, I accidentally froze them to quickly and then there was manual work to fill those open shifts. When a team member leaves, it usually takes a while to fill their role, so that transition is challenging.

Overall: Very happy with EasyShifts.

Pros: EasyShifts allows all employees to trade shifts with each other within the platform. EasyShifts allows a template to be created and carries over week to week.

Cons: Everything has been going well and I can't say I have any complaints at this time! EasyShifts was able to explain any issues I have had! (turned out to be operator error)

Overall: EasyShifts has been a huge help for our facility! We went from using an excel spreadsheet between 3 shifts and they became so messy! This helps with shift changes or trades and requests off!

Pros: We like using EasyShifts for scheduling our staff, we can keep track of who will go into overtime as well.

It is also the best way to communicate with our staff. We can send mass messages to all our staff to keep everyone informed!

Cons: We are looking forward to when EasyShifts launches with ADP. It will really help us.

Overall: Overall, it is great using EasyShifts, we really enjoy it. It is an easy program to use for entering in our schedule and staff and communicating to all of our, three, locations.

Pros: I like the fact that EasyShifts is very easy to use. I appreciate the fact that it is real time so staff can see the most up to date version of the schedule at all times.

Cons: I would like to be able to view, edit and delete instances where an employee is marked a call out by mistake. I would also like to be able to run reports to view the amount of time off whether it be sick calls or vacations.

Overall: I really enjoy EasyShifts and I wouldn’t go back to the old way we were doing schedules; paper and pen style. This has been very hand to all.

Pros: This is very easy to use has lots of features that you have to learn how to use to make life easier as a scheduler and for review.

Cons: Has lots of features that unless you spend the time to learn them and figure it out you might miss them.

Overall: Overall its a great product. Easy to use employees love it. Biggest thing is I enjoy using it and it has saved me time.

Pros: Employees can communicate with scheduler and other care staff in EasyShifts.
They can pick up without going through the scheduler.
The scheduler can keep track of hours and overtime.
The employees have control over finding coverage for a shift that they can' t work.

Cons: Once I figured things out I really don't have any cons. Maybe a little bit more personalization for our business and staffing, but right now I work around it.

Overall: Although change is difficult when you switch from one way of doing the schedule to another the more I worked with EasyShifts the easier it became. I love that our care staff can just go in and pick up shifts that become open or are up for grabs, but I also like that I can put overtime restriction on just in case we are limiting the amount of overtime our care staff are getting. It makes things so much easier.

Pros: EasyShifts is a very robust online scheduling software program. It allows you to customize roles, individuals, shift lengths, etc. can all be tailored to fit your needs. Need to split a shift--no problem! You can custom edit individual shifts for a single day without redoing the entire schedule. Need to limit overtime hours--easily done. EasyShifts alerts you when someone is going beyond his/her allotted hours for a pay period. It can also generate custom reports to let you know how many hours and types of shifts an employee has worked for a given period of time.

Cons: There are only two features that I wish EasyShifts supported. The first is a monthly view. It is a weekly based system, and that is the longest period of time you are able to view the entire schedule. Individual schedules can be printed out for a month in a traditional calendar view, but the group schedule is only viewable a week at a time.

The second feature I would like is the ability to copy and paste an employee in a given role across several days. There are shift templates that allow you to use a set role consistently, but you have to assign an employee to that template on an individual basis. Being able to copy an employee across several days (the same shift) would be useful as that is how most individuals tend to work.

Overall: We use this software to schedule and staff our very busy emergency department that has multiple nurses, techs, CNAs, physicians, and mid-levels. We have been using it for almost 10 years now, and it continues to serve us very well.

Pros: I do like that it is easy for all staff to log in and see schedules and trade or pick up shifts when necessary.

Cons: Staff does seem to have trouble using some features on the mobile ap. As long as they go to the website everything seems to work well.

Overall: My staff Supervisor does the scheduling. I am still not familiar with all of the functions available. However, it does seem to be quite handy and serve our purpose very well.
