    "Film scoring god"

Pros: The Digital Performer can utilize multiple sequences in a project. Each sequence can be assigned with its own smpte (timecode) offset, so you can use it to compose the music in different scenes, and each scene can have its own time signatures, plugin pallet, and compose for your scene with a fresh window at beat 1.1.000 (measure. beat. beatresolution). You can link all the sequences together which are called "Chunks" to daisy chain the sequences to a linear consecutive timeline while maintaining its timestamp.

Cons: The software doesn't have a lot of synth plugins from the get-go.
Some competitive software are packaged with a lot of plugins, and some with much lower price tag than Digital Performer.

Overall: I began sequencing in 1988 with an ATARI 1040st and I've being using Digital Performer for about 25 years. I've used lots of DAW software, and I won't change from MOTU Digital Performer.
