Overall: Customers can consult the catalog and place spare parts orders independently at any time. This has significantly improved our service and reduced direct support requests.

Pros: I participated as a consultant in an integration between the company's management system, PLM, and Components Engine. The integration was successful without any problems: PLM sent the design bill of materials to Components Engine together with the CAD models, while the management system provided the pricing and availability rules within the customer web portal. Components Engine's technical support proved to be highly competent and efficient.

Cons: No complaints. Implementation times were fast, the roadmap was followed, and, as already mentioned, technical support was excellent.

Overall: We needed to create a customer portal where we could provide information on spare parts directly from the design drawings. The project was a great success.

Pros: I’ve been using Components Engine for a few months, and I must say it’s very useful for managing complex spare parts catalogs. I particularly like how technical drawings are directly linked to the parts lists: you click on an item and immediately see all the necessary information. The ability to access the catalog from a mobile phone or tablet is also a big advantage, as I can order parts even when I’m not physically in the office.

Cons: At first, it takes a little time to understand how it works and organize all the data. The learning curve is real, but once you get the hang of it, the software becomes a truly valuable ally in daily work.

Overall: Overall, Components Engine is a professional and very powerful solution. It requires some initial effort and familiarity with the sector, but the long-term benefits are clear: it speeds up processes, reduces errors, and makes everything clearer and more organized.

Pros: Components Engine allowed us to quickly digitize all our historical data and old catalogs in PDF/WORD/EXCEL format, using automatic import and digitization procedures and functions. The web portal became operational in a short time. We then activated all the connectors for integration with SAGE to have all data synchronized with our ERP in real time, especially pricing and order simulation, to give customers accurate delivery times and overall order costs. The editor integrated into the solution allowed us to correct and update “outdated” drawings and bring them into line with the new codes.

Cons: No problems, solution (product + delivery) met expectations, we met our deadlines and PKI defined at the start of the project.

Overall: I highly recommend them to anyone who wants a partner that can support and “put up with” customers with a wide and varied range of material recovery needs. The delivery/technical support staff in particular have always been helpful, demonstrating considerable analytical and support skills in addition to their normal software support activities.

As a result, collaboration between the technical department, service teams, and customers has been noticeably improved, streamlining and accelerating the entire spare parts search process.

Cons: Overall, the user experience has been extremely smooth and intuitive. The available tools have met our expectations without presenting any significant challenges. While there is always room for future enhancements, we have not encountered any technical issues or critical limitations to date.

Pros: I use SolidWorks Composer to generate technical drawings and detailed representations of my products. The transition from these SVG files to creating an interactive parts catalogue has always been the weak link in the process... until I tried Components Engine. The software allows me to easily import vector SVGs, making each dot clickable and linked to part codes with a semi-automatic workflow.
This integration from SVG to interactive catalogue is really smooth: not only can I associate each call-out with the lines of the bill of materials, but I can also publish the result on the web or in offline format in a professional manner. The result is a catalogue that displays the technical drawing with interactive dots and an automatically generated bill of materials, ready for order creation.

Cons: As with other vector import tools, if the SVG file is complex or contains unusual graphic details (transparency effects or gradients), it may take a little longer to import. However, the process is extremely smooth and fast.

Overall: The combination of SolidWorks Composer and Components Engine allowed me to transform technical SVG files into interactive spare parts catalogues with very little effort. This not only improved the quality of my catalogues, but also greatly simplified communication with customers.

Cons: Nothing to complain about. It does what it is supposed to do. There are no particular drawbacks. Full use of all options requires some familiarity, but once you get started, managing projects and catalogs is smooth and fast.

Overall: I use Components Engine and find the editor for managing 3D files excellent: it is intuitive, fast and allows me to work on exploded drawings with great precision. The tools that automatically link the 3D parts to the part master are also particularly useful, reducing the time required and the risk of errors. A truly effective tool for anyone managing technical and after-sales documentation.

Pros: Comprehensive, exhaustive, and easy-to-use software solution. The technical support is always available for any query.

Cons: Discovering all the features of the software on your own is not possible without proper technical support from the staff. But fortunately, they are always extremely helpful and the response time to my questions is very short.

Overall: I have been using CE's software for several years now, and it is amazing to keep discovering how many useful features the program has. For every need I have, there is always a solution. Discovering all the features on your own is difficult, but once you get the solution, the program is very easy to use.

Pros: Very complete and convenient editor to edit 2D drawings (PDF, AI, SVG), without using external software.
Integrated 3D drawing viewer of the editor, without using external CAD.

Cons: Very complete, maybe too much, I haven't been able to use all the functions.

Overall: I use it to import 3D drawings, correct and adjust the associations between the 3D parts (deriving from the design) and the spare part codes (often different and with different logics).

Pros: Editor for update drawings. Management of virtual exploded drawings:
It was accessible from a variety of devices, including my desktop computer and my mobile phone, which made it very convenient to use.

Cons: Nothing in particular, the product has all the functionality I was looking for.
I have not experienced any problems with pre- and post-sales support either.
