Obtaining data from thousands to millions of devices deployed across a city and analyzing that data, is the foundation of many smart grid applications. Ubiik’s Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) solution helps utilities to cost-effectively collect data from meters or field devices, which will then be used to make informed decisions to maintain grid stability and improve grid resilience. The HES provides portable and scalable microservices aimed at reliable processing and packaging of up-to-date and timely information for customers to understand their meter data and make impactful business decisions. Obtaining massive amounts of data from meters in the field can prove a daunting task. In the case of utility-level deployment, this can mean the implementation of hundreds of thousands to millions of smart meters. Each of these field devices must reliably transmit and receive data at regular intervals (or on demand) from an upstream controller.
