    "Clio has helped my solo practice more than anything else"

    Pros: Clio is the easiest legal software program to learn and use on a regular basis. I am not the best with computers and new things, and Clio was easy to use right from the beginning. The assistance they give you with one click of a button is fantastic as well. If I ever have a question, they answer it immediately. I store all of my documents and client information in Clio and the billing process is so smooth and easy to use. I have used two other legal software programs in my previous jobs, and they pale in comparison to Clio. I recommend it to all law firms, especially solo practitioners.

    Cons: There is nothing I do not like about Clio. Truly.

    Overall: The company is great to work with, they appreciate feedback, and they are prompt in addressing concerns. They will also provide an initial consultation to go over the different services they offer. My legal assistant and I would be lost without Clio. I appreciate the program every day I use it.

    Pros: CLIO simplified billing, time keeping and document storage. The daily email reminders of tasks to be completed is very useful and functions as an additional docket. The capability to generate statistics on individual clients is invaluable.

    Cons: I have not found any negative features or characteristics in CLIO. It is a perfect product.

    Overall: CLIO significantly improved my productivity and reduced the time for preparing and dispatching invoices. Having CLIO is like having an accountant and office manager wrapped into one!

    Pros: I use Clio mostly for keeping track of my time, which makes billing completely seamless - eSign too.

    Cons: There isn’t much I don’t like. And when I’ve ever has any problem, their online customer service tools have quickly resolved the issue.

    Overall: Overall, I’ve been impressed by Clio. It keeps me organized and on track. It’s also user-friendly to someone who may not be exceptionally tech-savvy like myself.

    Pros: Everything.
    Clio makes running a law firm of any size life amazing!
    It is effortless to use and navigate.
    The attention to detail, such as the Clio platform's color scheme, makes it easy on the eyes, especially if you're using it all day.

    If you are new to Clio, you are in LUCK!
    Clio has many different types of articles, videos, etc., teaching you the ins and outs of Clio and how to use it to its fullest potential!
    If you can't find what you're looking for there, chat with one of the Support Teams - They are very well trained and can help with any issues accordingly. OH, and they will follow-up with you! You don't get that type of customer service anywhere these days!!

    Clio Manager: All the Amazing Things You Can Do!!
    Over All:
    -you can run many, many different types of reports, and you can make it very personalized!
    -keeping track of your firm's work
    -keeping track of Managing Lawyer(s) work
    -keeping track of paralegals work
    -firm calendar
    -Lawyer/Paralegal calendar where clients can request appointments!
    -Check the Firm's Dashboard to see -Utilization Rate, -Realization Rate, -Collection Rate, etc.
    -You can see a Live Feed of everyone in the Firm's work!

    On a Matter Level:

    Pros: Easy to manage and follow up on case management. I can handle thousands of files lots of space and drafts bill invoices.

    Cons: Sometimes interrupts the server, but it can be restored once it is reset. I noticed that when I work on a case and complete the assignment after I confirm it is done, it doesn't return to it's normal status from the beginning when it was assigned.

    Overall: Great product! nice design, ready for taking charge during the day and makes it an easier tool to take care the assigned tasks.

    Pros: The pros to Clio Manage are tracking client balances, organization, easy interface, integration with other apps and it is very user friendly. The pros to Clio Grow is being able to see all potential new clients and where they come from and not losing potential business by letting them slip through the cracks.

    Cons: I would like to be able to add some of our own categories to a matters dashboard.

    Overall: We have been using Clio Manage and Clio Grow for about 2 years now. It has been a lifesaver on keeping our client files organized, digital and easily accessible.

    Pros: I like the easy to understand interface and the fact that it has seamless integration with Quickbooks and LawPay. It allows be a single answer to accounting, client intake, billing and storage/tracking of client communications and documents. The price for service is also reasonable given the areas covered by the app.

    Cons: Occasionally it is down due to maintenance, but this is at odd ours and days generally.

    Overall: I will continue to use this product as I have since 2012. Clio continues to innovate. I would recommend Clio to other attorneys.

    Pros: Clio streamlines productivity by not having to utilize other applications to manage client accounts but works seamlessly with various apps if you want to. It's extremely easy to use and is supported by a knowledgeable, responsive, customer support team.

    Cons: Although the calendar will notify you if a limitation is going to run on a case, at this time you can not search by Statute of Limitations to compile a complete list.

    Overall: Clio is a great tool to maintain organization and delegate tasks to your staff and easily customizable for any practice! It is easy to learn, easy to use, and easy to maintain.

    Cons: Wish to have multiple people assigned to tasks on task list, and assign task from a calendar event will be a nice to have.

    Pros: I support our lawyers in their work, so most of my work is in the creation and updating of matters, prospect follow-up and billing. All of this is easy and reliable with Clio, and the features which are constantly being added have really improved my experience and efficiency. I love how Clio interfaces directly with Dropbox and LawPay. Tasks are seamless and Clio helps me be confident in my recordkeeping. Person-to-person tech support is always courteous and very helpful. The chat feature is appreciated for smaller things, too.

    Cons: I have found that the online help archives don't always keep up with the new features in Clio.

    Overall: Clio is extremely reliable and does everything that I need it to do, while it continuously works to better my customer experience. I am very pleased!

    Pros: It connects everything together. I can see the connections between clients and other contacts. I love the calendar system. I like how easy it is to look back and see what's been done on a case and when, and who did it.

    Cons: The task system is my least favorite part. The task page isn't great and it's hard to tell when things are due and what the timeline is compared to other tasks. Making tasks more like Trello cards or something would be nice because it's so hard to tell what's been done on a task.

    Overall: I've been using Clio for more than 5 years. I think it's great and I would recommend it to any other firm.

    Pros: Quicker than expected since it is cloud based.

I have had several law programs in my 26 years in the industry and this one is the best one I have had thus far. It is great for a law firm like ours that handles so many different areas of law.

    Pros: I love that Clio helps with tracking time, billing, provides all the reports you can think of, tracks general versus trust account deposits, works with bank account and Quickbooks. It is helpful to track at any time where I am on particular client matters, or for the year, in my business. I honestly cannot say enough good about it. The technical support team are also very knowledgeable, helpful and professional!

    Cons: I do wish Clio Manage was set up for couples, as I do a lot of estate planning for couples. I understand it is great for single folk.

    Overall: I have had an extremely positive experience with Clio. They have met and exceeded my expectations in my estate planning and probate legal practice. I think that life in that world would be MUCH more difficult without the benefits of using Clio on a daily basis. I have recommended to others and they too LOVE it!

    Pros: Clio was easy to build and customize for each specific type of case my attorneys need. I work in criminal post-conviction and our needs are vastly different than most firms. I also work as a project manager and it’s been very helpful in managing incoming and outgoing discovery.

    Cons: It would be nice to have full customization ability. Otherwise none.

    Overall: I will use Clio for all of my case management needs. It’s been useful in conflict checks as well as for sharing files with outside counsel.

    "Semi-retired lawyer use of Clio for billing only"

    Pros: My situation involves very limited semi-retirement practice from home without staff support, generating only two or three bills per month. I do not use the vast practice management tools of Clio other than billing. The single-user monthly cost of Clio (approaching $80) for such little use may seem high to an observer, but its ease of use and cloud functionality make bearing the cost a no-brainer. I can input time and expenses comprehensively, generate bills efficiently on a timely basis, and maintain billing records as I go with no appreciable time commitment on my part. I go all the way back to the days of paper timeslips and manual bill production, then dedicated PC billing software (several versions of the Timeslips program), until Clio came to my attention. Even almost three years after I closed my office, it's well worth the modest cost.

    Cons: As with any program, I occasionally have run into limitations of functionality or situations where I could not figure out a Clio function without help, but the ready access to telephone help from a skilled Clio technical support representative provides me with a quick how-to or workaround every time.

    Overall: Maybe there's something out there to serve my needs better or cheaper than Clio, but I haven't found it. Without Clio, I might have to give up law practice entirely.
