About Chaverware
CHAVERWARE was introduced in 1993 as the FIRST Windows product in this market. Since this time we have grown through our reputation of excellent software and support. Over the years, we have brought together other similar products under one roof; TempleSoft, Marks, Congregation Connect, JVillage and ShulCloud. Primary areas of business include software applications for the non-profit markets with a concentration in the Jewish market and further specialization in the Synagogue market. The software applications for specific markets include Chaverware, The Gold Standard in Synagogue Membership Software®, and ChaverWeb, an online tool for the members of Synagogues using Chaverware to manage their own data, make donations, sign up for events, and pay their bills. This software is associated with membership databases and accounting systems. Circuits & Systems Computers & Peripherals Inc. is closely associated with Circuits & Systems Inc.

"Imperfect for sure, but the best option I've tried" Posted 2024-01-24
Pros: Specifically designed for shuls, and meets the needs of an Orthodox shul moderately well.
Back end is fairly intuitive.
Robust interface with financial software.
A myriad of tools that meet our daily needs in most areas.
Many options available (at an additional cost!)Cons: Definitely lacking in pastoral and CRM features.
Customer support has sharply declined since the purchase of so many smaller databases.
Client interface is not intuitive and therefore use and compliance is lower than it could be.
The cost to customize features is prohibitive.Overall: Our shul was an early adopter of one of the platforms absorbed by Chaverware. In fact, we specifically moved away from Chaverware due to its weaknesses and frustrations. As they have slowly transformed ShulCloud into just another version of Chaverware the frustrations have re-surfaced.
