Pros: BookFunnel is the place to go for authors looking to build a newsletter following. It has the best group promos with big-name authors in independent publishing. It also lets you deliver ebooks securely to ARC teams and readers. It also lets you build beautiful and professional-looking landing pages for your books.

Cons: Be aware that the least expensive tier of service is good for little except delivering ebooks. You can join group promos, but BookFunnel will not collect emails for you, so doing promos on this plan are pointless. So the only tier that's truly useful is the more expensive one. Even on that one, if you want newsletter integration, you'll pay extra on top. StoryOrigin gives you the equivalent of BookFunnel's lowest tier for free.

Overall: Although StoryOrigin is a better bargain, as long as more authors are on BookFunnel, it's hard to beat BookFunnel for building a newsletter subscriber list. As such, the pricing is not the best, and you need to read the small print of what you really get for the least expensive plan, which is not much. StoryOrigin is a better bargain, but can't match the number of authors BookFunnel has.

Pros: I like the fact that Book Funnel collects email addresses for me for a reasonable price. It's also very low cost if you aren't interested in collecting email addresses.

Cons: Some of my readers have found the download process to be confusing. I have frequently had to direct my readers to a You Tube video that explains how to download a book from Book Funnel onto a Kindle reader.

Overall: Overall, it's been helpful to deliver books to my readers with some complications. My readers tend to be older, which might explain why they find the download process confusing.
