"Alright, but feels dated compared to other options" Posted 2020-11-18
Pros: Blogger is simple, and brings back a lot of good memories for me. It hasn't changed much, so it's easy to come back to. It's best for just plain blogging more than anything else, and that's exactly what I like about it.
Cons: Not changing much can also be seen as a negative. Younger people will probably see it as outdated. It doesn't look as polished as other blogging platforms out right now and it doesn't have the high customization and community of Wordpress to make up for that either.
Overall: One of the first blogger platforms I ever used was Blogger many years ago. I've used it on and off, coming back to see how it's improved over time. For the most part, it's stayed the same as it was. In some ways, I don't mind it because it makes me nostalgic, but it certainly won't appeal to the crowd like gravitates to places like Medium and isn't as versatile as Wordpress. It's alright, but I don't see it ever having the presence it once did.
