"Frustrating to use for testing websites"

    Posted 2023-06-01

Pros: Many device/OS testing options in Desktop, IOS and Android versions. The audio prompt when website is displaying in target device and ready to be tested is convenient.

Cons: The UI is not intuitive or convenient. For example, if one has navigated to a particular iOS version which has a list of available devices that you are testing—after testing one device (such as iPhone 12 Pro Max just as an example), and concluding that particular test—you have to go all the way back to re-set up what you want to test: Navigate back to 'Start a Browser Live Test', re-select 'iOS' from 'Desktop, iOS and Android' menu, re-select the target iOS version from the drop down. re-select location (EU or US) then scroll to select a device from the same list of devices you are working with, and even have to re-paste the url of the website you are testing. If only you could return to the device options for all that same criteria to just get to the device list without having to navigate through all the choices again! Very annoying. As well, there is a lot of drop-downs and scrolling to navigate through the selection criteria as the window is not very large. CrossBrowerTesting was so much easier and quicker to use.
Second complaint: it seems like 1/3 of the time, the desired device to check does not make a connection to the video feed, is locked, device not connected to the internet, or other number of strange screens/notices display instead of the just showing the website you want to test.

Overall: Annoying and cumbersome. Sort of gets the job done but would be happier if I didn't have to 'take it from the top' to navigate the several repeat steps to return to the same device list again.
