For Software Engineers, DevOps, Data Architects, and IT Leaders

The progression to modern application stacks and microservices architectures has resulted in orders of magnitude more logs, metrics, events, and traces. Like gravity, data attracts more data, making it increasingly difficult to move and process as it accumulates over time. More than ever, there is a need to be able to stream-process, filter, mask, transform, aggregate, analyze, and route that data to various data tier destinations optimized for specific usage.

"Only Microsoft could screw up a simple map program"

    Posted 2023-01-31

Pros: Since you screwed up its effectiveness, very little. Too many of your stupid little icons to be really useful.

Cons: If you attempt to use Bing maps to find a particular address, you may very well wind up with something on the map that isn't even remotely associated with the address you're looking for. Instead of showing you the street address you put in to search for, you are shown the name of a business that resides there but isn't the one you're looking for. This is especially true if you attempt to find a particular doctor's office. Totally loses its usefulness and it's only because they suckered somebody into paying to put their company name on a listing where multiple offices reside.

Overall: This COULD be a useful tool if it wasn't for the greed of Microsoft. Money over service every time.

    "Decent Mapping Platform"

    Posted 2022-03-27

Pros: Bing Maps has a great acceptance rate of correcting information and it's easy to get location verified and published on their mapping platform for our clients.

Cons: Their design and features are very expired and need to be updated. Not user-friendly.

Overall: Overall, Bing is a good database and resource when trying to find locations online. The mapping imagery is also decent.
