"Old Technology By Rude Organization " Posted 2025-10-14
Pros: Sadly, nothing to share positive to share. this is probably one of the worst digital platform that is out there, with very few updates, so i do not have any "pros" to talk about.
Cons: Slow website, backend based on older technology, very sluggish, freezes all the time, the reps are rude, and rarely answer their emails, in my case hundreds of dollars of unpaid royalties.
Overall: Besides having a platform that is behind with technology, very sluggish and freezes all the time, the different account managers i had in the last 10 years are always rude, and rarely answer your emails to the point that you need to open tech support tickets to then have them reach out to you. After 10 years, they took down my 121 tracks distributed through them and didn't pay the remaining $500 remaining royalties, assuming that I am a french artist living illegally in the United states, hence the refusal, after 10 years mind you, to pay me (I have been living in the US for over 30 years as a lawful permanent resident). Needless to say that if you are starting as an artist, or even considering starting a new label, this might not be the company for you, i'm just saying!

"Bad taste in the mouth." Posted 2025-03-24
Pros: As another reviewer has said, they came with insinuations that there had been illegal activity on my Spotify accounts.
Cons: As another reviewer has said, they came with insinuations that there had been illegal activity on my Spotify accounts.
Overall: My producer was involved with Believe and all my releases were there. As another reviewer has said, they came with insinuations that there had been illegal activity on my Spotify accounts. Coincidentally on the first ever tracks that made just over a thousand streams in a month. My producer gave notice and I am now elsewhere. I had to re-release everything all over again. I am absolutely a small fish but still, Spotify or Believe, both left me with a bad taste in the mouth. Spotify is necessary of course but I'm glad I'm out of believe. I would not recommend either.

"unBELIEVEable unloyal" Posted 2023-12-15
Pros: - fast distribution
- fair price system
- great report generation
- good store portfolio
- Hi-Res Audio SubmissionCons: - support only answers, when they feel to
- support doesn't answer specific questions
- Accusing of fraudulent streams
- kicks artists and labels out of contract without warning or clearing the situationOverall: I worked with Believe for almost eight years. In 2016, we had the opportunity to switch from Zimbalam to Believe, and I was thrilled and grateful. However, last week, we were unexpectedly terminated by them due to alleged fraudulent streaming activity. I was in shock, as I had never engaged in such activities, and they requested that I reach out to their legal team. I promptly submitted all necessary documents to the legal team, which included evidence suggesting that, if any fraud had occurred, we were framed in a deeply unsettling manner.

I also reached out to Spotify, and thankfully, they were understanding, friendly, and helpful. In an effort to resolve the issue, I even offered to pay compensation and remove the releases in question. Out of over 90 releases, only 5 were flagged for supposed fraudulent streaming activity. Unfortunately, it seems that this is how Believe Digital treats its loyal partners. Despite other distributors attempting to lure me away from Believe, I remained loyal to them. In hindsight, perhaps I should have considered those opportunities.
Believe may not be the best choice if you want to avoid being taken advantage of. Furthermore, it's worth noting that they no longer accept submissions phonically.
They never had any problems with us from 2016 to september 2023! but even this fact did not let them change their mind
I recommend exploring other distribution companies, as it could save you time and spare you unnecessary stress. Stay away from them! -

"Unpaid Royalties - no response form company after months " Posted 2023-03-24
Pros: Nothing at all. Unprofessional and don’t follow through with agreed options. Then ignore you and don’t respond to help/complaints.
Cons: To the Believe Team and anyone else who might actually bother to respond.
UNPAID ROYALTIES
I am writing regarding the ongoing matter of owed royalties that have not been transferred after months of emails, invoices sent, forms filled, releases re-released, photo ID sent, Tunecore details sent etc - only now for no replies by emails and nothing happening.
Jumping through every hoop you have asked of me.
I was understanding at the beginning that this was a ‘very unique case’ as the original label had gone into liquidation. But it has now got to the ridiculous and unprofessional.
I was told your legal team had approved this payment. You sent me forms to fill in - these were returned. Nicholas copied in support to pay the amount - only to then be told by your customer service team that this cant be done.
The emails between Nicholas and myself began on 28th November 2022. I was in contact with your customer service prior to this.
We are now in March 2023 - and nothing is resolved.
I have sent them a new invoice for the original cost and additional fees for the time wasted - and of course, had ZERO response.
So - if you need good customer care for your music and issues around royalties - go somewhere else.
I am now sadly needing to take legal action/debt collectors against Believe to get the money that is rightfully owed to me.Overall: Bad. Now passing details onto debt recovery agency to claw back my money. How sad is that. Ah well - thanks for nothing Believe.
