About Azure HPC Cache
Keep important work moving. Azure HPC Cache lets your Azure compute resources work more efficiently against your NFS workloads in your network-attached storage (NAS) or in Azure Blob storage. Enable quicker file access by scaling your cache based on workload—improving application performance regardless of storage capacity. Provide low-latency hybrid storage support for both on-premises NAS and Azure Blob storage. Flexibly store data via traditional, on-premises NAS storage and Azure Blob storage. Azure HPC Cache supports hybrid architectures including NFSv3 via Azure NetApp Files, Dell EMC Isilon, Azure Blob storage, and other NAS products. Azure HPC Cache provides an aggregated namespace, so you can present hot data needed by applications in a singular directory structure and reduce client complexity.
AWS Storage Gateway
AWS Storage Gateway is a hybrid cloud storage service that gives you on-premises access to virtually unlimited cloud storage. Customers use Storage Gateway to simplify storage management and reduce costs for key hybrid cloud storage use cases. These include moving tape backups to the cloud, reducing on-premises storage with cloud-backed file shares, providing low latency access to data in AWS for on-premises applications, as well as various migration, archiving, processing, and disaster recovery use cases. To support these use cases, the service provides three different types of gateways – Tape Gateway, File Gateway, and Volume Gateway – that seamlessly connect on-premises applications to cloud storage, caching data locally for low-latency access. Your applications connect to the service through a virtual machine or hardware gateway appliance using standard storage protocols, such as NFS, SMB, and iSCSI.

Azure Virtual Network
Azure Virtual Network gives you an isolated and highly-secure environment to run your virtual machines and applications. Use your private IP addresses and define subnets, access control policies, and more. Use Virtual Network to treat Azure the same as you would your own datacenter.
