About Arbitrum

Next generation layer 2 for Ethereum dApps. Use your favorite tools and scale your dApp at the lowest cost. An aggregator plays the same role that a node plays in Ethereum. Client software can do remote procedure calls (RPCs) to an aggregator, using the standard API, to interact with an Arbitrum chain. The aggregator will then make calls to the EthBridge and produce transaction results to the client, just as an Ethereum node would. Most clients will use an aggregator to submit their transactions to an Arbitrum chain, although this is not required. There is no limit on how many aggregators can exist, nor on who can be an aggregator. To improve efficiency, aggregators will usually package together multiple client transactions into a single message to be submitted to the Arbitrum chain. Arbitrum also supports a privileged Sequencer that can order transactions and give low latency transaction receipts.

    "Deliberately misleading scammers"

    Posted 2023-04-15

Pros: Can't think of any sorry... errr they have a cool logo? And they generated lots of hype with their airdrop (but then I read news they stole the token without waiting for the DAO vote?)..

Cons: There bridge deliberately misleads you into bridging unsupported assets so they can lock up your tokens for 7 days for their benefit and get more transactions and gas fees on their blockchain.

I checked their official bridge https://bridge.arbitrum.io/ and it clearly allowed me to bridge agEUR as the token appeared in their drop down list.

However, after paying high gas fees, they sent me the WRONG token.

I contacted their support initially on Discord who are SUPER RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL and UNFRIENDLY and told me to raise a ticket on https://bridge.arbitrum.io/

I raised a ticket but again the support basically called me an idiot and were SUPER RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL and UNFRIENDLY and would not help.

They kept closing my ticket so I re-opened it as my issue was not resolved - their bridge which shows agEUR in their list of bridgeable tokens had sent me a worthless token on Arbitrum blockchain.

    They simply banned my account.

    Overall: Terrible.

Arbitrum is the WORST blockchain support and bridge I have ever used and I consider them a bunch of scammers.
