"Feels like an essential tool for Python based Data Science" Posted 2020-10-04
Pros: Anaconda's somehow become an essential part of my repertoire. There's the Jupyter notebook, which I use anytime I wish to examine my data structures and data frames, and manipulate matrixes. There's the conda package manager, which comes in handy when trying to use different cutting edge research github repositories (seriously, some of these use wildly different package versions of OpenCV, Keras, Tensorflow, and whatnot... thank goodness you can just stick it all in a custom conda environment for each project).
Cons: Anaconda broke when I updated my Macbook Pro's Operating System last year. I forget if it was Mojave or the one before or after, but around that time. Massive pain in the ass, needing to copy files around or reinstall. Something to do with how Apple changed their shared folder security settings.
Overall: Anaconda offers access to a supremely powerful set of tools that feel indispensable in the ML/DS space. You can use Jupyter Notebooks to debug matrix heavy math in fields like electrical engineering too.

"Anaconda - Review" Posted 2020-06-06
Pros: (+) Integration with most of the python based developer tools. All of those tools can be found within anaconda like Spyder, Jupyter notebooks, and many more.
(+) Great UI and UX. The interface is quite good.
(+) All of the latest python packages can be found easily. Support to the old and latest version of python.Cons: (-) The application takes a bit to start but it's very fast in terms of execution.
(-) Installing many libraries also slows the application down.
(-) It has some bugs but I hope most of them get resolved soon.Overall: Though anaconda provides a lot of python applications I have only used Jupyter Notebooks and Spyder IDE. The application takes a bit of time to launch but once when it is started it goes on smoothly.

Most of the basic packages are preinstalled with anaconda and other latest packages can be downloaded at your fingertips easily. One thing that I have experienced is that on installing a lot of packages the application becomes a bit slow. As anaconda is free of cost it's a define recommendation for any organization or individual.
