Pros: I like that the system is easy to use. It is very user friendly. Our staff also learned it very quickly.
Cons: I don't like the FMLA tracker. We still need to track it using a spread sheet. The customer service is OK most of the time but there have been issues with them taking a real long time to get back to me when I have questions that need immediate attention. A manager did reach out to me regarding this.
The payroll module is okay but you have to reactivate terminate employees in order to pay them. It's a pain to have to explain to auditors.
The benefits module is only good if you can set up Carrier connections. We are not able to use this feature as it would cause us more work.Overall: Over all for the price that's a pretty decent system. They are making updates and changes to it constantly improve it.

Pros: APS has great payroll and record keeping tools to make my life easy. Time cards work well and I can easily assign managers and move employees as needed. The reporting is very good with standard and custom options, and any time I can't build a report the way I want their customer service can help me out! Their response time is quick and they are always nice and helpful :)
Cons: There is literally nothing I don't like, if I can't figure something out their customer service helps me out!
Overall: This is the best HR/Payroll system I have ever worked with!! Best customer service by far! It is amazing.

Pros: Largely intuitive. Fairly responsive to commands. Does not require installation of a client application to interact with server. Administrator and Manager interfaces are still built "desktop first" rather than assuming everything is a swipe on a mobile device.
Cons: Does not support any API access with third party labor collection systems.
Not US distributed - when their servers in Louisiana go down - like during hurricanes in a state that has them occur regularly - their entire system goes down. Inability to create scorecard systems for attendance that match our (fairly normal) policy.Overall: Probably better solutions exist. Will go elsewhere probably when we consider investigating newer solutions in the future.

Pros: No matter your skill level, no matter the problem you are dealing with, APS has the answer and dedicated teams with diverse expertise to handle our every need.
Cons: I honestly don’t have anything I do not like, the only minor thing I can think of is the new updates available that pop up, then again it’s an update so it’s helpful. Doesn’t happen a lot but when you are working and it pops up it’s a few clicks to get it to go away or wait and refresh.
Overall: I started out in 2019 with absolutely no experience and they made it easy and educated me along the way. They can handle every aspect and payroll and HR.

Pros: Partners with our accounting software, R365. Dependably processes payroll each week. Like the employee document storage feature.
Cons: Does not partner with our scheduling/time clock/POS software, Toast. Reporting feature is difficult to use. Customer support is not the best.
Overall: Dependable, but not feature rich or very user friendly. The employee mobile app leaves a lot to be desired.

Pros: Very user friendly. Videos available for each module for refreshers if needed. Amazing customer support, although I find the tool so easy to use that we seldom need customer support. I love not having to worry about W-2's, W-3's, and tax reporting. The report builder really is just that-- I can build out any type of report and information I want to capture. Setup is easy. Timecards are easy.
Cons: There really isn't anything that I don't like about this tool. I tried to think of something that could help APS improve, but there isn't anything.
Overall: I describe my review as Paying it Forward because APS Payroll has given me back so much time to do other tasks that it's like they are paying me. I can then spend more time on the tasks I need to work on to assist others.

Pros: We love that APS can handle all our time and attendance needs as well as handling taxes for the company. We don't have to worry that things will not get done.
Cons: Sometimes we need reports that are not available and then to get what we need we have to pay extra for it.
Overall: Overall we enjoy using APS and it helps eliminate lots of manual payroll entries. Employees can track and keep up with their own records and payroll related items.

Pros: I like how accessible APS is as a company. If we have a question or concern, or just need clarification on something, we can usually get an answer quickly. And when given an answer, they do a good job of communicating the reasoning behind it. I would recommend APS.
Cons: Sometimes the website feels a little hard to navigate.
Overall: My overall experience is positive, and I would be happy to recommend APS to anyone who is looking to make a change.

Pros: Excellent customer service. They are always ready to help., are quick to respond. They always follow up to make sure all needs have been met.
Cons: Some processes have to be done on the backend and cannot be done by the user.
Overall: Couldn’t be happier with APS. The reporting features are completely customizable. The options for W2s are great and easy to send and access.

Pros: Top-notch customer service: I can rely upon very quick, professional, knowledgeable, and familiar assistance every time
User-friendly interface: I am not a payroll professional, so I need a system that is logical and intuitive both for me and for our employees.
Value-Pricing: it's been a few years since we switched over to APS, but at that time, I was paying another service more money each month for considerably less functionality.Cons: The only piece I haven't mastered is accruals/leave. We have varied leave policies based on hours worked and seniority which complicates the process for me.
Overall: I cannot over-emphasize how fantastic APS's customer service is. As a client, I am assigned to a customer care team which means that I am constantly working with the same group of people. Even throughout the pandemic, my team was readily accessible during business hours, either by message online or by phone, and I have never been disappointed by their ability to help solve my (mostly self-induced) payroll issues.

Pros: Onboarding, integration of modules, training process, ease of use, online support, having a dedicated support team, responsiveness, reliability.
Cons: Reporting is good but some reports seem to have a criteria of one choice or all choices, without the ability to slice & dice on the fly. APS has created a couple reports for us. I have created some of my own reports, but not fluidly as I would like.
No feature for tracking attendance occurrence points.Overall: Overall experience is high. We implemented near the end of 3rd quarter 2020, and continuing its use today with no plans to move to another platform. They are incredibly responsive with their ticketing system.

Pros: I think this system is just as good if not better than the big names like ADP. I have found that the pricing is comparable if not better than other processors. It's very easy to use compared to ADP Workforce Now and has just as many features.
Cons: Very disappointed that 24 hours processing is an extra fee. I have not encountered an a 48 hour processing window in 10+ years and I've never been charged in order to process within 24 hours of the payday.

Pros: I love the ease of use and the customer support. It has a strong payroll program and a good all-inclusive HRIS platform that serves our needs well. They are reliable and I never have to worry about tax reports being filed on time.
Cons: The applicant tracking side of things in the HR Hire is a bit cumbersome. Setting up interview questions takes a bit of maneuvering but it is doable.
Overall: Overall, we are very satisfied with the program and support provided. We highly recommend APS for all your small or large business needs.

Pros: Very user friendly.
Support is always helpful.
Built our system around most of our needs.
New User Training and Videos are amazing supports for my staff.Cons: Sometimes they aren't able to adjust certain reports for what we need.
Holiday pay is a weird breakdown for our reports, but its a learning curve.Overall: A very reliable program and company especially when we transitioned almost 100 people over. Training was wonderful and everything went as smooth as possible.

Pros: Easy layout to understand and maneuver through the website. Quick and friendly customer service. You can customize your homepage with which reports you utilize the most.
Cons: The service fee increases each year with no additional benefit.
Overall: I have not had a negative experience with APS. They have always been super helpful when I needed assistance finding certain reports and customizing deductions for payroll.

Pros: APS provides a great payroll service. Certainly makes things easier. I've used APS here at Tejas for 7.5 years, and another 7 years at Bella Fresca when I was there.
Cons: The website takes some getting used to, but really it doesn't need any changes.

Pros: I like when I use the APS app on my phone while I'm on the move. The best part of it is when I login on my PC to see my employees side of things.
Cons: What I would like is for you guys to do is fix the mobile app version to fit the laptop version....Like the open menu screen.

Pros: APS has incredible customer service, from sales, to onboarding, to ongoing user support. Our dedicated support team is always quick to help me no matter what kind of question it is.
Cons: While the APS Hire to Payroll integration is fantastic, some of the other sections within APS online could integrate better together- for example, there is a performance management module but you can't pull in data from the attendance or events modules.
Overall: Overall, we would absolutely recommend APS to anyone looking for a new HRIS system. It takes some time to get used to, but it's been a godsend for our mid-sized organization.

Pros: We left our former payroll company and chose APS initially for some of the following reasons;
• Their demo/presentation process was very thorough and inclusive of additional time for hands on exploration of both Employer and Employee pieces. I reached out to a couple references which were supportive of using APS.
• They have all of the standard payroll functions in place including Sage/Peachtree compatibility. Provide 3-4 dedicated customer services representatives who will be familiar with our specific account and able to provide best practice advice. , build reports and are APA certified knowing local jurisdiction and tax laws.
• Very proactive with providing immediate updates on IRS/PPP/FFCRA, etc. which includes specific details as to how it will affect both the employee and the employer from a business/payroll perspective. Providing best practice information. (Which is how I discovered APS in the first place while searching out information on PPP in May/June 2020, as my payroll provider at the time was unable to provide guidance)Cons: There are a few things I'd like to see improvement.
-Quicker resolution to items escalated to "support" for fixes needed.
-More proactive communication when there are issues that others have reported that may affect our or our employees use of the payroll system and/or eSELFSERVE. It would be great if APS could send out an Admin. notification upon learning of validated issues rather than being reactive when an Admin. reaches out with the particular issue. This would help by keeping us in the loop and to be able to be more proactive in notifying/responding to our staff. In addition to saving time of both the Admin. users and APS Team members.Overall: Overall, we are using APS payroll functions successfully. There are a couple of areas that we do not utilize, as we feel it is not relevant to us currently or we do not wish to pay the additional service cost.

Pros: The best part of the APS Payroll System is the ease of use of the product, but truly it is the people behind the product. The customer service is amazing! The fastest responses, that are accurate and informative. They will help you through any situation you may have and make sure it gets done correctly so you are able to have everything be correct on reporting later. The product itself is so easy for my staff to use, it is rare that I have to answer questions, the biggest question I get is "I forgot my password", and that's simple to do as well! Love using this system!
Cons: They have many training videos and tutorials available, but I prefer to train when I can walk through the use with someone and this is rare.
Overall: Overall, love this product and the staff who provide the service. Sales was easy as well, not pushy or overselling. Great payroll product!
