A-Systems JobView

Pros: Software easy to use, reliable, layout is easy to understand, good help desk, almost always get phone help when I call, keep customer up to date.

Cons: Behind the times, needs to have a pm software and paperless documentation.

Overall: Good software, good updates, good user comments/adjustments.... needs to have PM software and HR software.... keep up with times.

Pros: I enjoy using the product because of the robust features within A-systems. Tech support is also very helpful whenever I have an issue.

Cons: Some of the reports are hard to navigate and can cause issues whenever providing reports to accountants.

Overall: I am happy with the overall product, and I believe that any issues that arise will be handled by tech support in a timely manner.

Pros: My favorite aspect of JobView is that when you call for support, you speak to a person immediately - no waiting for ticket numbers to be issued, then a representative to call you back. You get immediate attention.
The system is user friendly, and the job cost reports are easy for our project managers to understand.

Cons: I have used several other systems during the last few years of job hopping, but this is by far the most user friendly. I have no complaints.

Overall: My overall experience with A-Systems has been excellent. I worked for another company that used this service for 20+ years. When that company closed, I had several jobs over a few years. But when I went to work for another contractor, I recommended JobView for them. We were set up in April of last year and have been very happy with the software and the exceptional customer service and support.

Pros: This software is a complete package for tracking purchasing, customers, payroll, equipment and inventory. You can generate almost any report you would ever need or want. All reports can be customized to meet your needs. The customer support is excellent. The support team knows each customer and that team has been in place for many, many years. Mike can answer most any question you have. And if not, he will get Mark involved or programing will fix the issue quickly through the routine updates.

Cons: There is nothing I don't like about A-Systems JobView. Any issues other users at our business may have are addressed and corrected quickly.

Overall: I believe we starting using JobView in 2006. I have used this for job costing in a contracting setting as well as for inventory management in the wholesale equipment industry. And year after year I continue to be pleased with this product. The software is designed to be perfect for each individual business owners needs. I would not consider any other accounting software. I would recommend A-Systems JobView to any business!!!

Overall: I have really enjoyed working on this program. it is very user friendly and the reports are great. it would be great if the cloud was more affordable.

Pros: Although it's been several years, i find almost all the JobView program is so intuitive that it makes my job more productive. The ease of most corrections. Voiding almost any type of transaction. Merging accounts (customer, jobs, General Ledger)

Cons: Two or three of the procedures seem a bit convoluted. there are some restrictions in applying receipts that i find cumbersome.

Overall: JobView was so very much better than the (un-named) Construction Accounting software we suffered through over the past few years.

Pros: Can import just about anything from a CSV file, Job costing is easy to understand and use.
They are very good about taking submissions from people and actually implementing them. Each version update offers something new.
If you have the data query view installed you can come up with just about any report you need.

Cons: Not a huge fan of the post type accounting system. Making mistakes can make the back end look messy when trying to resolve it.
It has kind of a windows 3.1 look and feel to it,
Their cloud services are remote access not web based. (This can also be a pro)
I wish you could have more than one window open at a time sometimes you need the info from two screens.

Overall: This is my first experience with a job costing system, second accounting system. The staff has been extremely knowledgeable and available when you need them. You can tell they have been there long enough to know the system inside and out. Overall I have enjoyed learning the program and working with their team.

Pros: Super user friendly. All modules pretty much work the same so easy to learn, best support of any program I have ever worked in for the last 31 years. The support staff will also work with getting things you think would make A-Systems better into the program at your request. If you are looking for the best all round program for construction accounting. You will get it with A-Systems JobView and extremely fair priced for the package you get.

Cons: 31 years and I honestly can't say I have ever not been satisfied.

Overall: Super Easy to Learn, Super Value and the Best Support Ever!
This program will meet any need you have in construction accounting and make it super easy. In program, lien releases for A/P, AIA billing for A/R and certified Payroll Reports for P/R. You won't be disappointed.

Pros: The software program itself, is excellent! What's even MORE excellent is the customer service. With JobView - you're not some random customer, you know the team and they do everything they can to accommodate. Over the course of the year they will make updates to the software when suggestions are sent to them. BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!!

Cons: Not having the time to learn every aspect of the software. The few limitations I may have run up against, they either address it immediately, add it to the wish list OR we find a work around...I have yet to really find a Con, because it always, always comes back to Customer Service.

Overall: I spent two years deciding on software, and I'm SO GLAD that I went with JobView. Arnold, Mike and Mark make it such a great program that I literally have NO COMPLAINTS.

Pros: Worked with A-Systems for 3+ years now. Good Training & Support. Always willing to hear about your questions or issues and provide a response or fix to the system. As a user you mean something to this company. Offers annual users conference to cover system updates for improvement and user feedback.

Cons: A-Systems is harder than expected on multi state payroll. It is capable of doing some but has some drawbacks.

Overall: Reviewed 3 software programs originally and picked this one and I would not change to any other one. Very satisfied.

Pros: Software is super user friendly.

Love the annual conference you get to learn what is new and learn some things you may not have known about that are old - no two are alike!

Cons: Did not like using non cloud version.
Reporting could be a little more user friendly to use.

Overall: I have 20 plus years in the accounting field and have used many software programs and JobView's ease supersedes any I have used.

Pros: The first thing my boss liked is the pricing of the software. But as the person who sets up the software, trains other uses and uses the software myself, the best thing about A-Systems is how easy it is to learn & use the software.

The support team is amazing! When you call you get a person answering the phone right away and not automation cyber-space. When something isn't working correctly, which happens with all software, the team is right on top of it. They even take suggestions for improvement and implement them for all to use at no extra cost.

The user conferences are amazing experiences that allowed me to talk to other users in the same industry and see how they use the software and where I can make changes to better utilize the software. I also get to learn all the new improvements and be reminded of features that we didn't implement originally and may have forgotten about. bit need to be using.

Cons: The certified payroll portion of the payroll module needs to be more robust to handle the scope of work that we do. We have employees that perform multiple classifications of work in a single day on a certified payroll job. I have to manually calculate what the employee will be paid per hour for each classification. If everyone had the same fringe benefits it would work, but our fringe varies per employee.

Overall: I have been through 4 software implementations in my career and A-Systems has by far been the easiest! The A-Systems team has been the easiest to work with after the installation. I highly recommend A-Systems JobView!

Pros: The level of support and reception to feedback is second to none among software products I use. Knowing help is just a quick email or phone call away puts my concerns at ease. The software itself is fairly intuitive and quite user friendly. I only wish I had more time in the day to learn what I am NOT utilizing. I know it would make my work life easier.

Cons: There are various different modules that we don't currently use, but would like to have more time in the day to learn and implement for our crew.

Overall: Everyone at A-Systems is super helpful. From providing technical assistance in the software to, sometimes even, accounting advice, the level of professionalism and service is beyond compare. The User Conferences are my absolute favorite! Getting hands on instruction and advice and being able to provide feedback and suggestion that are actually taken into account and even implemented is just phenomenal.
