About Battle.net

Battle.net is Blizzard Entertainment's desktop app and social hub where players can interact with one another as well as update their Blizzard games and buy items. Launching in 1996 with the release of Diablo, it became the first game platform developed directly into a company's released games.

Free for anyone to download, it acts as a game library for all Blizzard titles as well as some Activision games, such as Destiny. In 2017, a phone app was released, allowing users to take advantage of the social features.

    "Broken"

    Posted 2021-02-06

    Pros: Fun, when it works.

Cons: When I play an arcade game in Starcraft 2, it NEVER allows me to join a lobby for the second game. I get stuck and have to restart Battle.net. It's been a problem for over 5 years, so obviously Blizzard doesn't care.

Overall: Broken, and Blizzard doesn't care anymore.

"NEVER BUY BLIZZARD / Battle.net games ESPECIALLY "partner" games"

    Posted 2020-11-22

Pros: None really. Looks like a good selection and client, used in the past. It once worked ok, but the latest purchase just has not worked AT ALL. At this point, honestly, THERE ARE NO PROS! If you want to CHANCE your purchase NOT WORKING. Go ahead, try a Blizzard / Battle.net game purchase!=/

Cons: As a Technology Director and professional for MANY years, a purchased game would NEVER launch.

Support was WORTHLESS. It was a new game, we were patient and followed ALL trouble shooting steps. Servers would NEVER allow connection, but we were told we had TOO much game time / play time in?

NO ONE WOULD LISTEN TO THE REAL TRUTH about the game NEVER working, not ONCE! We are uninstalling the Blizzard / Battle.net client.

*** We will NEVER purchase ANOTHER game from them, nor do we recommend YOU DO EITHER ***

We will USE a service that actually has customer service and/or can resolve a problem.

I consider myself technology proficient and a professional.

*** This company, in my PERSONAL and PROFESSIONAL opinion, is neither PROFESSIONAL or LEGITIMATE, at this time, due to literally STEALING funds for service/purchase NEVER USED. ***

Good luck with your future purchases.
*** BE WARNED, DO LOOK ELSEWHERE!!! ***

Overall: *** BE WARNED, DO LOOK ELSEWHERE!!! ***

Worst customer service. Some games worked in the past, but lately, with the MOST RECENT PURCHASE would NOT work DESPITE following ALL Blizzard / Battle.net AND Activision support. Get someone on the phone? NEAR impossible, we were never able. COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY!!! DO NOT DO THIS TO YOURSELF OR YOUR CHILD...

I despise being told I have too much play time on a game when it NEVER LAUNCHE ONLINE OR OFFLINE!
