About
Urbit is for everyone, but sometimes it is easy to get lost in this universe. Follow these links to contribute to the network through developing, operating, and exploring. It solves the hard problems of implementing a peer-to-peer network (including identity, NAT traversal, and exactly-once delivery) in the kernel so app developers can focus on business logic. The entire OS is a single pure function that provides application developers with strong guarantees: automated persistence and memory management, repeatable builds, and support for hot code reloading. The connected world anticipated by Urbit is a much friendlier one, much like the early Internet, where collegial discussion and collaboration was the norm. Problems that are unsolvable without large-scale political centralization in our current internet – data breaches, spam, fake reviews, malware-spreading, harassment – become tractable when individuals control their computing again. You have one login for everything.

About
Zelcore was originally created to provide users the protection, control, and choice needed as the financial system evolved to a more decentralized fashion with blockchain. This requires a powerful consolidation platform that would serve as the last mile of the blockchain (much like internet providers to homes). The platform must act as the gateway to the blockchain for individual users to conveniently harness the services, the trust-less nature of crypto, the global peer-to-peer network on a distributed ledger, and the incredibly long-term potential that blockchain creates. Mission accomplished for Zelcore and its users! The explosion of cryptocurrency, decentralized finance and its necessary services have delivered promise, but with extreme complexity for the average user. Complexity and convenience are often antonyms. Users crave convenience, and in response to that, many centralized organizations (Coinbase, Blockfi) have answered that desire with centralized exchanges.
