	Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros The hardware and software are top-notch. They are always adding new features, and the support is phenomenal. Not many issues come up, but when they do, the team is on it. One of the biggest advantages is that you do not need Windows. The Business Edge can be used on virtually any operating system, which is huge for us. We use Macs and Linux throughout our companies with no issues. I run two companies using The Business Edge, and switching between them is seamless and can be done on the fly. I can even run both companies side-by-side on the same screen. It is built for the way fastener distributors actually work: part-number-heavy inventory, quoting, order entry, and high SKU counts that generic ERPs handle poorly. They understood our industry out of the box, so we didn't have to bend an accounting system into a distribution system. The team knows the fastener business, and support came from people who understood what we were asking, not a ticket queue. Most of all, they are truly good, honest people who care about your business. Intuitive layout with all the information you need displayed in grids in every view. Lot tracking, material cert system, package labeling, and customer documents are second to none and work extremely well with parallel lot tracked commodities such as pipe, fittings, and valves. We purchased Business Edge in 1998 and launched it on January 1, 1999. It has been incredible to see the improvements and enhancements over the years. The platform's capabilities for managing inventory, customer quotes, orders, vendor purchasing, internal and external processing are comprehensive and flexible. Additionally, the retained information in both the database records and documentConnection is extremely useful during our ISO 9001 audits. Dennis was able to get the situation resolved quickly and with no additional information needed from me. Cons Not many cons.However we have to use a 3rd party to process ACH payments. It would be great to have a module for this. Having only one choice for credit card processing is not ideal. Honestly, nothing significant in 23 years. Any issues we had were handled quickly by their staff. N/A There are very few downsides, as their focus on the fastener industry is key to their success. There wasn't anything that I didn't like except for the fact that the column wasn't there when I originally went to pull the report.
