About

A virtual waiting room is a page that holds visitors away from a busy website and feeds them back to the protected website at a rate it can handle while still maintaining responsiveness and performance. This means websites can handle unexpected or sudden peaks in traffic without website crashes, and without having to waste energy powering additional servers when things are not busy, so it's green tech too. Fair virtual waiting rooms pass visitors back in first-come, first-served order. A good virtual waiting room should also keep the visitor fully informed of their progress and remaining wait. There's nothing worse for your business than a crashed site. High-demand sales don't just damage your servers, they damage your reputation. Protect your customers' goodwill with a smooth branded journey. Show your customers that fairness matters with our proprietary first-in, first-out virtual waiting room technology, invented by us and originally patented in 2004.

About

Leveraging collective bot intelligence and machine learning techniques, your online business is constantly protected from not just the known bad bots, but also from new ones, ensuring best-in-class protection. Processing billions of pages, and with constant learnings, Radware Bot Manager (formerly ShieldSquare) bot prevention service is tweaked to ensure that none of the genuine traffic to your website and mobile app is blocked. Unlike the DNS re-routing technique used by other bot detection tools in the market, Radware Bot Manager uses an API-based approach, thereby ensuring seamless integration with your existing infrastructure. Radware Bot Manager provides Cloud Connectors and Web server plugins to get started quickly. A lightweight REST API code and JavaScript inserted on your page provides complete bot protection.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Queue-Fair has become a great partner for us when it comes to managing virtual queues during periods of high demand. The platform is very easy to use, and one of the things we value most is that virtually everything can be managed through their API, without needing to constantly access the web portal. This allows us to integrate Queue-Fair much more naturally into our own processes and automation workflows. Another aspect I would especially highlight is the quality of their support. Even though we are in a different time zone, the Queue-Fair team has always been very accessible, quick to respond, and willing to help whenever we have needed assistance. The level of support and attention has been exceptional.
  • Queue-Fair provides flexible and easy-to-manage queue configuration, which allows us to adapt the setup to different traffic scenarios and business requirements. The monitoring capabilities give us good visibility into queue activity and overall performance. Integration with our existing systems has been smooth and reliable, without adding unnecessary complexity. We also particularly appreciate the quality of support the team is very responsive, knowledgeable, and provides fast and effective solutions when questions or issues arise. Requests are handled quickly, which is especially valuable during high-traffic or time-sensitive situations.
  • We are a k12 district that used QueueFair for our parking sign-up (which is a way higher intensity event than it probably sounds like). Working with them was a great experience end-to-end. It felt like we got the VIP treatment despite being a small customer. We had some unusual stuff we were trying to do as far as allowing users to save their positions in a way that was tied to their Google account, and validating that the user that signed in to enter the queue was the same one that signed up for a parking spot. Matt was ready to jump right in to the technical stuff with us on the sales call, and via email after we were a customer. There was no wading through multiple tiers of support. The technical and security guides are really through. This is a "do one thing well" kind-of company, and they do it well. I think that shows up best in the way that they have tuned the working of user-facing messaging. That might sound trivial, but it's those little differences that might mean 50-100 extra support calls on event day.
  • It completely solved the issue we had with our servers getting overloaded with big spikes in demand. Our product drops are now smooth, where they used to be a nightmare. The interface is genuinely easy to navigate. We didn't need a long onboarding process to get comfortable managing queues and settings. When we've had questions, the documentation has consistently had the answer, which is a relief compared to platforms where you're stuck submitting a support ticket for basic things.
  • My experience with Queue-Fair has been fantastic. The initial signup and onboarding was quick and easy, the documentation is thorough making the setup and testing relatively simple. I've had two virtual meetings with members of the Queue-Fair team, one to go through initial setup and questions and one before our event to go over final checks. The knowledge of the product is thorough, which should be expected but isnt always the case. What also impressed me was that the product has clearly evolved over time, there is rational for everything backed by real world examples. This gives me real confidence in the product to handle our needs, because its done it all before!

Cons

  • Everything has worked very well for us so far, and we haven't experienced any significant issues worth mentioning.
  • We have not experienced any significant issues or drawbacks with Queue-Fair so far. The solution has met our requirements well and has been reliable in our day-to-day use.
  • Honestly, I have no complaints whatsoever. This is a company that has spent 20+ years refining one thing. It's pretty good.
  • If we had to point to one thing, and it’s a stretch to find anything to dislike, it's that finding a very specific setting sometimes takes a few clicks through nested menus rather than being surfaced directly. Dashboard customization is also somewhat limited if you need to track a particular combination of metrics. That said, it's never gotten in the way of our day-to-day use. The platform has worked exactly as we've needed it to.
  • There really hasnt been any downsides or negatives yet.
