Pros from Real Users Pros All tools in one place — Mail, Drive, VPN, Calendar — make work simple and efficient. So its Europe. proton meets all legal requirements, so it is perfect for business. Availability is very good. I like the fact that it was constructed around account safety and it has a fresh interface. It has a lot of features and it is quite affordable for regular users. - Easy to use, - Open source, - Possible to use with a custom domain (requires a premium subscription), - Privacy orientated (something truly rare these days!) The web client is great for all my needs, and ProtonMail is a privacy-respecting e-mail provider, based on Switzerland. The # draw is that this is a secure, privacy-focused email alternative. It also has a very sleek interface. Can encrypt if you want, or not. All settings are available and it is easy to set up everything. Have a free version that I am currently using and it is not restricted in any way. Allows for two-factor authorization. ProtonMail offers encrypted emails, so it's a good option for those looking for a more private, secure email service compared to the bigger ones out there like Gmail and Outlook. It's got fairly priced options, and the free version isn't too bad either. I love that my emails are end to end encrypted. I found out that Gmail reads my emails and I quickly signed up for the free version. Many ways to filter mails, to organize junk mails etc. And, also a calendar and addresses are included. So everything you need :) For me, eM Client has a well-balanced range of functions, but is not as overloaded as Outlook. The program is easy to use, considering the variety of functions. I was really satisfied with version 9. ► All the features that you need to e-communicate everyday using multiple e-mail accounts ► Everything you may reasonably want to adjust can be adjusted ► Robust desktop app ► The UI is not just friendly – it is more: professional, efficient, reliable ► Setting up accounts is a breeze and transferring the set up from the desktop to mobile device in no time via QR code... a touch of magic Simple to use and download. Easy to follow menu and to set up email accounts. I do not need a complex app, just something to download my emails, view, delete and manage pesky spams. The ease of use and absolutely huge amount of features that you get with this email software is mindblowing. And the possibility to get this with a lifetime purchase is very rare and much appreciated. Cons Sometimes I get timeouts but I have no idea why. The provider is available, everything seems to be fine but eM Client is not able to connect, while thunderbird is. And sometimes it gets stuck loading an email. The computer is online but the eM Client doesn't seem to be able to connect and to show the mails content. I use eM Client on Macintosh computers and my most important argument, the frequent crashes, is based on the experience under MacOS. I cannot judge the behavior under Windows. Since version 10, eM Client keeps crashing, at least once a week. This can even happen when I leave the computer, when I come back I am told that eM Client has crashed. This gives me a bad feeling, especially because after restarting the program, the database is first checked and then repaired. If something goes wrong there In any case, I have never experienced such crashes with other e-mail clients that I used before switching to eM Client. Version 10 of the program was released a few months ago. Apparently the programmers are not able to get the problem under control. In addition, a support request ended with an unacceptable answer. Either the employee didn't know his way around or he didn't feel like dealing with my request. ► It took me a long time to discover this tool exists As I am not tech minded, have not come across any features that are of concern. Shortcuts good be more prominent and readily available but overall very easy to use and nothing to complain about. I received some server error during the first couple of days that made me hesitate on the service but after a call with great support the issue was resolved and now I am a lifetimer.
