About

PayPal is a widely used digital payment platform that helps individuals and businesses send, receive, and manage money online and in stores. The platform offers flexible payment solutions including Pay in 4, Pay Monthly, debit cards, cashback credit cards, and savings accounts with competitive APY rates. Users can shop securely online using PayPal checkout while earning cashback rewards and special offers from popular brands and retailers. PayPal also allows customers to transfer money internationally, split bills with friends, request payments, and create shared money pools for group expenses. The mobile app provides a centralized experience where users can manage payments, savings, rewards, and cryptocurrency transactions in one place. Security and privacy are heavily emphasized through encrypted payments and protection of financial information during transactions.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • As an independent professional, I rely on PayPal as my primary gateway for receiving cross-border payments from international clients. The platform's automated withdrawal system to local Indian bank account is incredibly efficient, ensuring that my business cash flow remains consistent. Its robust security and KYC protocols provide the peace of mind necessary for managing high-value global transactions.
  • PayPal is a safe and convenient online payment method that offers many benefits. Here are some of the benefits of PayPal: 1. Security: PayPal uses advanced encryption technology to protect payment information to ensure secure online transactions. 2. Speed: PayPal facilitates online payments by allowing users to pay quickly and easily. 3. Accessibility: PayPal is available in many countries around the world and is accepted by many online merchants. 4. Buyer protection: PayPal provides buyer protection that allows consumers to be reimbursed for fraudulent transactions. 5. No transaction fees: PayPal does not charge fees for transactions between PayPal accounts, allowing users to transfer money easily and at no additional cost.
  • I like how quick and accessible it is I’ve been using it for a long time now, it’s good, I also like how I don’t have to remember card numbers.
  • I like its worldwide acceptance and its ability to get different currency into one local currency and that into associated bank account.
  • Convenient to use. You can pay and receive money from anywhere in the world. Financing is also good.

Cons

  • The main drawback is the currency conversion rat, which is often less competitive than mid-market rates for international transfers. Furthermore, while security is a plus, the occasional 24-hour hold on funds can be challenge when managing immediate operational expenses for a small business.
  • Some of the disadvantages of PayPal are: 1. High fees: PayPal often charges higher fees than other online payment options available. 2. Account Freezing Option: PayPal may freeze your account if you make a transaction that may constitute fraud or if you use the service inappropriately. 3. Processing delays: Technical or security issues can sometimes lead to delays in processing payments and refunds. 4. Foreign exchange charges: If you make international payments with PayPal, you may have to pay additional foreign exchange charges. 5. Transaction limits: PayPal may place limits on the amount of money you can send or receive. 6. Potential loss of buyer protection: If you make a payment outside of PayPal, you may lose the buyer protection offered by PayPal.
  • I didn’t have any dislikes really except I don’t really like having to put my email in every time I wish it was only the password.
  • It cuts slightly high tax otherwise nothing to complain about.
  • I changed my account now, but my account was hacked once. Fortunately, there was no financial damage because I did not put any account information, but it was almost a disaster. After that, the safety device that goes through several steps is rather reassuring.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • As a NetSuite merchant, SensePass gives us an agnostic payment gateway - one bundle, fully reconciled with NetSuite, that connects to virtually any processor, wallet, or platform we need. It handles everything from credit cards to BNPL options like Klarna, Afterpay, and Affirm, plus wallets like Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal — all through the same integration. Reconciliation used to be a manual headache - matching lump-sum deposits against dozens of individual transactions. With SensePass, payments and fees post directly into NetSuite and reconcile automatically, which has saved our finance team real hours every month-end close. We also use Pay by Link for remote and invoice-based payments, which has been great for collecting outside the storefront. But the biggest win has been freedom: we can move between credit card processors without paying migration fees or re-tokenizing our customers' saved cards - which used to be the most painful and expensive part of switching. That flexibility has let us negotiate better processing rates and cut our overall card processing costs meaningfully.
  • Easy to use, answers all my needs, very flexible, great response time. I highly recommend using SensePass

Cons

  • I wish I knew about this sooner, we spent a lot of money on processing it is flashing money down the drain. They should do a better job advertising this.
  • None. I never had an issue with the product or team
