Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros 1. Exceptional customer service 2. Quite intuitive and easy to use 3. Highly configurable per business needs Excellent MES system that is easy to configure and support. End user support is excellent from the company! This out of the box MES solution is easy to implement and versatile when configuring. The ideal solution for process control, tool interlock, traceability, data collection / retention and the integration of other devices such as PLC's, torque positioning arms, etc. Overall, the support is top notch, and the software is world class. Our company has been utilizing the PINpoint MES software since 2012. We have multiple assembly lines configured utilizing the software. Incorporation of the software on our lines ensures our engines are produced to specification as the product is configured within the PINpoint system. Ensuring the key critical data is stored for each engine produced is valuable for our business. We continue to incorporate the PINpoint MES software on our newest assembly lines ensuring we produce the highest quality products for our customers. Everything is traceable! From the moment the user logs in, every move is managed and controlled using PINpoint to interlock our Digitally Monitored Torque Tooling (DMTT) with PINpoint socket trays. Everything from printing shipping labels, pin stamping a part, using a digital gage to record a shafts endplay measurement, to monitoring and recording every fastening completed within the facility. Production problems are traceable using the available built-in ANDON system with easily configured buttons, text messaging to 1st responders, everything is documented and timestamped. No more guessing or exaggerating downtimes within your workstations. PINpoint's easily configurable and puts you in complete control of your process while giving you up to the second data of all operations as they happen on the shop floor Cons Some configurations are still a bit manual which causes some concerns on sustainability when scaling up and initial setup. Nothing so far! I think the only thing that I would like to see is iOS and Android support. The Pinpoint software in previous versions had some flaws, but the latest version seems flawless thus far. To allow for unique process functionality, each product has to be configured individually. In the future it would be beneficial to have a template we would input our system information into that would upload for ease of configuration. Multi-level and department system support is required with controls for the PLC for communication. Software licensing and maintenance fees to be considered in overall project planning ensuring cost justification considerations are met. As a 1st responder supporting multiple facilities (280+ work stations with 400 DMTTs), the inconsistencies in the way things are named or referred to from one site to another needs to be standardized. While naming is in the user’s control and not really a PINpoint issue, the thing that would benefit a large company rolling out PINpoint across multiple facilities would be to develop a "Standardized Naming Convention" for process steps, fastening steps, tooling, tooling types, production lines, work stations, data managers, and devices before starting. Standardize EVERYTHING!! This way the support team from one site can actually help support multiple sites without ever actually being there in person because they know by a tool or device's name... what it actually is without ever laying eyes on it	Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros I like just about everything on Statii its easy to use and very logical (I feel like a Vulcan now ) ha ha ha. Most of all support and customer service is instant and i mean that just one phone call 5 seconds and your talking to someone helpful. Excellent Support to mold the software to your requirements Flexible Report Publishing. Time Management and Planning. Costing of jobs can be tracked effectively. Always receive prompt response to queries without need for call back. We use all the features to help our business run smoothly. We love the fact that we can do all task's using the program from diary entries to work sheets then invoicing and deliveries. A great pro is we also can see exactly how much profit each job has made and the area's we have overspent. The best thing is when looking at current or previous sales orders we can see every thing that went into that job such as quotes, purchase order's for stock, delivery notes and you can attach any files and notes. Very simple to use and train staff. Easy to navigate. The ability to not proceed from a certain stage until all required information is completed prevents important information being missed. Can handle complex assembles and sub-assembles. Tracking changes made to inventory items and who made them. Comprehensive reports on download Statii team are very helpful and quick to resolve any issues that have occured. Always available on the phone. I could go on... Cons Nothing yet I can't fault this at all, any problems I've had have been sorted very fast and normally something i done wrong. Not being able to delete information. Shop floor data capture has limited functionality. Cannot repeat last action with single key stroke, however i understand that this suggestion is being considered. eg when confirming incoming multiple deliveries. The biggest con we find is that because we are based quite rural and up a farm track we don't always have the best internet connection. As Statii is online only we sometime have trouble with our connection. A few minor things; Cannot account for multiple prices on a part (ie; if you have ordered same thing in 2 batches at different prices). Cannot 'look forward' in Inventory to see what assemblies a specific part is used in.
