About

OpenText Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST) is an automated solution that simulates real-world attacks on live applications, APIs, and services to identify exploitable vulnerabilities. It operates on running production environments, requiring no source code or staging setup. Designed for modern DevSecOps teams, the platform prioritizes vulnerabilities for root cause analysis and integrates seamlessly through REST APIs and an intuitive user interface. OpenText DAST supports automation in CI/CD pipelines, reducing manual efforts while accelerating security feedback. It covers modern web technologies like HTML5, JSON, AJAX, JavaScript, and HTTP2 to ensure comprehensive testing. Flexible deployment options allow organizations to run the solution on public cloud, private cloud, or on-premises environments.

About

Xygeni is an AI-native Application Security Posture Management (ASPM) platform organized around three pillars: ASPM, Supply Chain Security, and AI Security. ASPM gives you one risk view across your toolchain: it ingests findings from native scanners and third-party tools alike (Snyk, Veracode, Checkmarx), then applies AI triage, prioritization, and remediation to all of them equally. Supply Chain Security protects the pipeline itself: dependencies, CI/CD, GitHub Actions, build infrastructure, and secrets. Its MEW engine catches malicious packages before a signature exists. AI Security covers the newest attack surface: DevAI secures agentic coding tools inside the IDE, while CoreAI gives security leaders an AI copilot for organizational risk. Native coverage spans SAST, SCA, DAST, Secrets, IaC, Container, and CI/CD. SaaS, on-prem, or air-gapped.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Secret leaks were causing frequent disruptions in our deployment cycles. The adoption of Xygeni not only upgraded the security of our secrets but also enhanced our developer productivity. By reducing false positives, developers can focus on innovation rather than remediation. Xygeni’s git hook integration is a game-changer for our DevOps team, catching issues we didn’t even know existed and saving us countless hours.

Cons

  • Like any new tool, this one requires some learning time to get accustomed to its operation and features. In addition to the extensive documentation and support resources, the provision of explanatory videos would be highly beneficial in facilitating user understanding and adoption.
